Overall bad place to work
Express advisor (Former Employee) –  Colonie, NYApril 9, 2019
Wouldnt recommend working here management is the worst I've ever seen, will promise you the world and never follows up. They like to run a skeleton crew on the Saturdays where it's the busiest time of the week and they make it so its impossible to go to lunch due to the lack of workers. Just an overall bad place to work

Receptionist (Current Employee) –  Colonie, NYAugust 14, 2018
Favoritism shown to some employees. There is no accountability for salespeople. The management staff will not help, and get angry when asked questions. No continuity in commissions, it depends on the manager’s mood if they are going to pay you or not.
Pros
A lot of good people
Cons
Poorly Managed

A great environment that does volume
Sales Manager (Current Employee) –  Colonie, NYJune 26, 2018
Quick paced, more customers than sales people, all at the flagship Lia Store. It really is a different process here compared to other dealerships in the capital region.
Pros
Free Lunch Saturdays, Competitive Pay Plan, Opportunity to grow

Parts Manager (Former Employee) –  Colonie, NYMay 22, 2018
Management in the body shop is extremely negative. The manager is very degrading and chauvinistic. It is a very high volume body shop, bringing in anywhere from $250,000-500,000 monthly, depending on the season. The parts department averages around $135,000 per month. As you can see, it is an extremely difficult job for one person working 8-5, Monday through Friday. They refuse to hire more than one person for the parts department, which causes unnecessary stress on everyone in the body shop.

TITLE CLERK (Former Employee) –  Schenectady, NYMay 18, 2018
At Lia Toyota of Colonie there were great employees to work with. Large volume dealer that was constantly on the go. If you are willing to learn they will teach you a lot. The downside is that there is poor management in the sales department.
Pros
Flexible hours
Cons
Poor healthcare, poor management, poor pay.

Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Colonie, NYMay 9, 2017
I've worked for the company for almost 7 years and they showed me the ropes of selling cars! The way the dealership is run, is remarkable. To back up that statement a little further, I went from selling maybe 5 cars a month to doing 18-25 a month easy.
