It depends on how well they did the fiscal year before. When I started, there hadn't been raises for 5 years. But I received a raise 4 out of the 6 years that I worked there. Also, it gets broken down per department then the director has to decide how much to give each person, if any. This is for full time associates. Front line staff normally doesn't get raises but if they do it's like 30 cents.

I applied on indeed was called about a month later for an interview. Went in and three people interviewed me from that dept (one from HR, the Assistant Director and Director). Was called about a week later to interview with other managers that I would be working with (different 3 people) then was called a week later and was told I couldn't start until the 1st of the month so had to wait an additional 2 weeks to start.

Like I was dying inside. Most of the people there dread going to work each day and there is constant turn over.

Its the worst. If you have an admin job it's cush all other positions are too stressful. There is a clear distinction between front line staff and admin staff and they are treated extremely different. The HR dept is the worst I have ever known, no exaggeration.

It's fairly easy to get hired, they usually are understaffed so they need you to start asap. I would know some science websites or magazines and be ready to explain why you love science. Also, you have to like kids no exceptions.

If you are full time it is unlimited but after 3 consecutive days you must provide a doctor note. If you are part time you have to earn sick hours which is one hour for every 30 hours that you work up to a max of 40 hours per year.

Answered

Very easy and straight forward questions. Little to worry about.
