LOL it's really 9 Hrs which includes a 1 hour unpaid lunch break. That being said if you are working on emergency situations with your clients you'll be pushing into overtime since they pay you hourly and then be reprimanded for hitting overtime even though you go above and beyond for your clients and even though they'll tell you they want you to help your clients. Other than that you are always worrying about weather, political situations, war, terrorism, etc. so you are always on duty in a way.
