Academic Advisor in Lynchburg, VA
on January 22, 2022
Good company culture for the most part, but the work as an academic advisor is pretty redundant after a couple months. You are micromanaged to the point where your personal breaks and lunch breaks are pre-determined by management. All emails are reviewed and you are counseled on missed commas and run-on sentences regularly. You are essentially in a call center that monitors your every move and every key stroke.
Production Assistant in Lynchburg, VA
on January 4, 2022
Fun, educational, and relevant to my degree. Taught me practical shop skills and gave me experience in stagecraft. I worked as a student alongside other students. The full-time workers, master carpenters, and stage managers were fun and positive people who made teaching me new skills their priority. I loved everything about the job except the pay, which was a whopping $7.25/hour.
Fabrication Tech (maintenance) in Lynchburg, VA
on January 2, 2022
In the maintenance department, the management is sorely lacking. Leadership development is not a priority at all. They turn work you may enjoy into something awful by micromanaging, poorly communicating expectations, and inconsistent expectations.
D1 Softball Student-athlete in Lynchburg, VA
on December 2, 2021
training management was horrible, short breaks, management is very nitpicky, was required to ask to use the restroom, sitting for 7 hours a day, constantly questioned about every little thing you do
Academic Advisor in Remote
on November 9, 2021
While the pay is okay you do basicly do collections. As someone who is trying yo go further in my career it does not offer mobilty and there is over work. Unfortuantly it is diffcult to advocate for students as a real academic advisor.
