Hire German American store managers who are able to accurately recognize and communicate things that will not work for the American Customer. I did the this for Aldi. Lidl wants to take on Aldi , go ahead, but do not expect the same work ethics as in Deutschland, here you get out what you put in .A little thank you on a job well done, yearly raises goes a long way in retail but not paying at all or even a day late USA disgrace as people rely on every dollar b/c it’s already spend most of the time . I grew up with both , Lidl and Aldi in Germany and hope Lidl makes it here , but remember what happened when Walmart came to Germany? big bust , right? Do you know why ?If you don’t you should do a focus group inviting people who grew up with Lidl but live here long enough to be able to point out what doesn’t work for the super busy American shopper and how it could be approved slowly. Walmart failed cause of many reasons some small and fixable such as stores were too huge and imposing for the average German , too slow at checkout for the busy , Germans hate cueing , and the layout didn’t work either for Germany. Good luck in 🇺🇸 and please send a German Baker to train all American bakers,we all know about the bread here , but I think they are ready for Broetchen or a good Stuten or Doppelback!
Fire all the managers and give people 2 days off in a row. Hire more people so the employees I have aren't over worked. No more favortism/ retaliation from management.
