If you manage a store, Interview your potential boss thoroughly!!!
I LOVED this company working in a different city, under a different district manager, I would still be working for the company if I hadn't moved due to family needs. The new manager I had was very hands off, do it yourself, I'll call you when we need to talk about things to fix otherwise ---- "don't make me have to call you." I personally hate that - more ... type of environment and left to find a better boss-employee working relationship. One where I could receive not just critiques, but constructive feedback. Also... having a boss purposefully set you up for failure multiple reviews in a row - not the ... - less
ProsCompany hours, schedule, training covers EVERYTHING
ConsUpper management depending on location, this is typical of corporate jobs though
