Provide more opportunities to share issues & concerns with management. Mid level management disconnect between staff and administration. Don’t hire clinical employee to fill management job without management or related degrees AND experience.

My nurse manager was caught in too many lies and I couldn't tolerate that anymore. Not a true Magnet hospital for nurses. No shared governance. No real nursing research. Unsafe handoffs actually no handoff from ED whatsoever just drop he patient. Not even a bedside report. Rules change everyday and the rules are different for different people. I utilized the chain of command to complain and it did absolutely nothing. It just exhausted me. My coworkers were great but in the end I had to do what was best for my future.
