Good but management needs work.
Data Entry (Current Employee) - Williamsville, NY - February 2, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedGood Place to work, however management can be tough sometimes. Management just needs to understand how much their employees actually do (which they dont) . Employees just want to feel more appreciated (which we dont)

Automotive Technician (Current Employee) - Gray, ME - May 28, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Great group of people to work with. And it's nice not having the pressures of dealership life hanging over you. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? There is no stress. Literally... no stress. The only "stressful" part of the job, is wondering if a rusty bolt is going to come out or break. And either way... it doesn't matter. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Nice shop with the special quipment needed to do our jobs. As far as culture..... we are ALL cultured at this shop! LOL What is a typical day like for you at the company? Come to work, fix cars, take lunch break, fix more cars, go home. What else is there?

Do not apply: high turn over/ drama
Floor Support (Former Employee) - Williamsville - May 19, 2023
Worked here for over a year and I learned a few things...1st off you are overworked and under paid, the managers let select employees get away with anything and everything then complain when we don't make our numbers. Most of the staff is related in some way or another, so expect those individuals to be extra lazy because they know they won't get fired.

Nepotism driven and little concern for employees
Data Entry (Current Employee) - Williamsville, NY - October 14, 2022
Half of the managers have their children working under them who get away with not doing little to no work everyday. However, if any non-related employees were to be found doing as little work as the nepotism babies do, they would be reprimanded. An employee once made a remark to another about the fact that there is no way to move up in this company, and one of the managers took them aside and gave then a talk about how they should be grateful for having this job. This company has such a problem keeping employees that when just one person calls in or takes a day off it makes whichever department they work in understaffed. The Data Entry position requires typing and sorting through devices that are covered in dirt, random fluids, broken glass, and even bugs. In this position they also will not allow you to use a chair without a medical condition. Avoid working here at all costs. The starting pay may seem great at first but it is not worth it in the long haul. I’ve worked here for a bit and have already seen about 6 people get hired and quit because of how the managers act and how they employees are treated here.
Pros
1 hour lunch
Cons
Managers, nepotism, dirty conditions, refusing to allow certain employees to sit

Finding their way
Computer Repair Technician (Former Employee) - Williamsville, NY - June 24, 2022
Over the course of 13 months there working as a laptop technician, it was a sometimes confusing environment. There have tremendous ambitions of implementing systems and processes, and while I saw a couple fail in my time, several long time employees are indefinitely skeptical of changes they want to make, as they have often folded. I was given inadequate training before being given my own workbench, which made it difficult to achieve their KPI goals, which were unclear to me the entire time. Management is supportive, although I wished there was more transparency. The employee environment was fantastic, most everybody was happy to help if I asked. Not many, if any steps up available for technicians, although with their commission you are able to earn more as you improve.

Great employees, hard to get a raise
Ecommerce Consumer Electronics Customer Service, Sales (Former Employee) - Buffalo, NY - July 26, 2021
I would be the first employee in the building at approx 7:45. I would answer all customer service emails, enter all daily orders and provide tracking information, make purchase orders for product that was running low in stock, handle manufactuer rebates and promo calendars. I cannot think of a hard part of the job since I was very good at what I did. Most enjoyable part of my job was working with my team to create growth within the company.
Pros
Create your own lunch break, wonderful and enjoyable employees
Cons
Hard to get a raise - no yearly performance reviews

Nice people and hands off management approach
Manager (Former Employee) - Williamsville, NY - January 25, 2020
The atmosphere is pretty lax. If you get your work done there are no issues. Management doesn't micromanage. The staff all gets along fairly well and welcome new people with open arms.

Not a bad place to work
TV Repair Technician (Former Employee) - Ontario, CA - August 13, 2019
Looking to learn something new? Lifetime is a great place to work. They are patient, with your learning curve. Plus they pay an incentive per TV repaired.

Decent People, Poorly Run Company
Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) - Williamsville, NY - May 29, 2019
The Owners/Upper Management have no idea what they're doing. Employees are poorly compensated with a lack of benefits as well(1 week of vacation after 1 year, no paid sick days). If you want health insurance...... good luck, that'll be a good portion of your weekly check. The company routinely fails audits. There is a lack of professionalism from management and other associates, daily harassment. Some good people work here, but most of them leave once they realize they can't live on such a poor wage. This can be an okay job if you're in college and need a few bucks, but other than that you should avoid this sinking ship.
Pros
Employee Discount
Cons
Compensation, Vacation Time, Health Care

Quality Control Technician (Current Employee) - Williamsville, NY - January 10, 2019
It is a decent place to work; you can learn a lot about repairing electronics; management is a little weird, it is some times a boring job when doing quality control.

Fun workplace with hard working like minded people.
Refurbishment Technician (Former Employee) - Williamsville, NY - October 11, 2018
A place where there is something exciting around every corner. Technology and electrical equipment everywhere. If something plugs into the wall they fix it.
Pros
Great staff and hours
Cons
short breaks and hard to move up

Great people, horrible management.
IT Administrator (Former Employee) - Williamsville, NY - June 25, 2018
After working as an IT administrator for 6 months I was suddenly and without warning fired. No reason was given and I was told to not contact anyone at the company. Not only was the whole situation handled poorly by management, most of whom had no idea what was going on, but the level of unprofessionalism was staggering. I would completely understand getting layed off but for them to handle it the way they did is completely un called for.
Pros
Hour long lunch, payed vacation
Cons
Horrible Management

Good place for college student not for anyone looking for an actual career.
Technician (Former Employee) - Williamsville, NY - June 12, 2017
This is not a place to advance or have high hopes of a ever growing career. It's is treated like a middle point between you and an actual career. That's it.
Cons
Bad benefits bad career choices.

My experience at Lifetime Service Center was great!
Technician (Former Employee) - Ontario, CA - May 28, 2014
I really enjoyed working at Lifetime. It was a great experience and I learned many new skills and gained some valuable knowledge as well.
A typical day at work:
I would clock-in and make sure everything was in order, ask my fellow co-workers if anything needed to be taken care of before shipping arrived. Things like dis-assembly, putting parts into the system and into the correct locations in the stockroom, assorting components and/or merchandise, fairly simple tasks.
After the shipping associates delivered the devices my job was to
enter them into the computer and begin repairs. Organization was very important. I had many devices to work with daily and I had to make sure everything was repaired in a timely fashion and make sure customer information was correct and status of the device was input accordingly. I was also in charge of making phone calls to customers about the status of their device if they had inquired about it or there was any delays for whatever reason. I also frequently had to check my messages and email for updates to customer information and was to report to higher authority for any damages that may have been customer induced. I was to inquire to HQ for any decisions that we were not cleared to make on our own. At the end of the day everything was to be cleaned, checked, and staged for the next day.
Management:
I feel that management was much better at the start. We had a shift in management in which a supervisor had left to work at another location. I felt that the previous supervisor/manager was much more skilled, handled affairs much smoother -
Pros
Great environment, Great co-workers, Paid weekly, Initial management was fantastic, Occasional free meals
Cons
Constant changes In procedures and management

Researcher, purchaser, accounting (Former Employee) - Williamsville, NY - August 4, 2012
A typical day at work, would be to follow my daily routine, so everything would go smoothly. Can't say I learned to much. Every thing I did their. I basically already knew. Management seemed divisive and segregated. My co-workers were ok, but like all work environment, some people are great and other are completely ignorant. I can't say I had any difficulties in doing this job.
Pros
??
Cons
lack of advancement
