It was Okay
Pemserter (Current Employee) –  Euclid, OHDecember 11, 2018
The job is okay if you are still living with your parents and you want to make extra cash to help out with them, but if you live alone probably not, if you go to school don’t do it, they don’t care if you go to school they rather you just work there.

Productive, well managed and maintained job with great benefits and the right people
PC Board Manufacturer/Assembler (Former Employee) –  Euclid, OHSeptember 21, 2017
Lincoln Electric was one of the most fine tuned companies I have ever experienced in my career path. My day to day would mostly run flawlessly. We all know that sometimes the resources are not always available to fill the order. This can cause line downs, but you have to pull through and do the best with what is given to you. That's what gave us motivation to get it done. That is also the most gratifying. Happy customers mean happy companies which makes happy employees, and I was definitely one .

Boiler Operator (Current Employee) –  Euclid, OHMarch 15, 2018
Lincoln is a VERY a competitive place to work. Demanding hours and work schedule make it very hard to have a proper work/life balance. Overall it pays the bills but it is not for everybody!

reduced wages and benefits increase turnover
Coil Winder (Current Employee) –  Euclid, OHFebruary 16, 2018
when i started at lincoln it was a tough place to work, but the pay and benefits made it worth it. over the last six years as the company has focused on global expansion, they have slashed pay and benefits for their workers. this has caused an alarming amount of turnover as workers have had more work added to their jobs and have had their pay reduced as much as sixty percent. lincoln has frozen the pension, the price of healthcare(you pay the full price out of what little bonus you still get) and high deductible alone drove away many long time workers. there are no paid holidays, sick time or personal days. often they will send workers home early during the week if it is slow, then bring them in on saturday for straight time. the attitude of most workers is now very negative. that along with the high turnover have impacted productivity and quality, the two things lincoln had championed for a hundred years.

if the management was better I could see working there. problems brought up were not addressed in a timely manner. a very visible disconnect with management. Also piece work and swing shifts calls for a tense culture. Mentor Plant is a better workplace with better General Managers.

Beware of wolfs in sheep clothing
Unappreciated (Current Employee) –  Euclid, OHJanuary 14, 2016
This is one of the worst, disfunctional campanies I have ever worked. Leadership is archaic and disfunctional, your basi good old boys club. Professional growth is bottlenecked at the top so there is little to no room to grow! The compensation is less than industry standard and they use a profit sharing bonus to make up the difference but when you startm you only get 75% then you have to deduct 25% flat tax and local tax then the cost of your benefits. They also bate potential candidate with a bonus advance so that is another deduction at the end of profit sharing year. They do offer guaranted employment after 3 years but now the economy has taken a step back for Lincoln, they decided to "Terminate" 200+ salaried employees before August 1st so they would not have to pay a 2015 profit sharing bonus, but they never laid anyone off, why would you when you can just terminate! The hourly workers are on 20-24 hour work weeks, just terrible!

Connector (Former Employee) –  Euclid, OHJune 30, 2018
Start day with putting on all safety gear before coming up onto factory floor. Then I would check production sheets to see what's available or what's is scheduled to connect for the assybly lines.Check the prints for any changes. Then set up all necessary supplies and tools I need and start phasing and connecting stators.
Pros
Did pay very good

Tow Motor Operator (Former Employee) –  Euclid, OHFebruary 19, 2018
Worst work enviroment you'll ever experience. Every day they strive to pay you less in order to do the same job. I stopped two people from assaulting me while I was there. I've had four coworkers physically assault each other. I lost count of how many people that were fired or quit.
Pros
Always hiring.
Cons
Hot, dirty, unsafe, pay, hours

Emergency Team Member (Current Employee) –  Euclid, OHAugust 16, 2017
Was a fun place to work and make money years ago. Now I am one of the top techs and they will not let me advance my career because I am "too valueable. "Health care costs have gone through the roof. They have eliminated the pension. I had 1 raise in 4 years, yet I am one of the top techs
Pros
Bonus and more vacation based on length of service
Cons
Advancement opportunities limited and health care very expensive and got rid of pension

Core wire Operator, Quality inspector (Current Employee) –  Euclid, OHMay 1, 2017
Lincoln is a place that takes very tough skin and a level of patience to exceed. I wouldn't recommend this new era of lincoln to anyone that wants to provide for there family and wants a pretty leveled out work schedule. This job isn't for you at all, but if your a well mannered, single and humbled person that can wait and tough it out then best wishes to you.
Pros
money than can be made
Cons
short breaks, bad management, corrupted, no level for advancement right away or barely at all

Hard working employees, strange advancement and bonus system
Machine Repair Millwright (Current Employee) –  Euclid, OhioSeptember 16, 2015
This could be a good company to work for depending on what department you work in, every department is managed differently. Some employees make good money for there fields while others are grossly under paid. The bonus system "incentive management" is archaic and leads to a cutthroat environment in some areas, and can lead to back stabbing and a lack of accountability when mistakes are made.
Pros
Good bonus years can lead to a very good annual salary, some areas have a very friendly team work environment, also there is a lot of knowledge and resources at your finger tips working at lincoln.
Cons
No sick time, no holidays, employee pays entire cost of health care$$$, no timely pay increases, will fire anyone at anytime without notice during slow downs ("NO LAYOFFS"), bonus varies year to year, will cut any incentives they can to keep profits high, cost reductions will always come from the bottom up, company focuses on the short term not long term

I learned very little, except racism still exist at Lincoln Electric. Hardest part of the job was being afraid of co-workers and boss, typical day is listening to co workers back stab each other in hopes of a larger bonus. works not hard but mondain

Excellent Corporate EHS Group in which I worked as a peer.
Environmental Engineer Consultant (Former Employee) –  Euclid, OH 44117September 25, 2017
The management at Lincoln Electric was superb!
The 2 managers who ran the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Department were top notch businessmen and EHS "gurus" that were fair to each and every EHS employee in the department (there were approximately 20).
The most enjoyable part of the job was having numerous peers in the EHS compliance realm from which one could go to for back up information and / or opinion.

Compliance Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Euclid, OHAugust 9, 2017
Benefits are minimal and expensive. Lincoln helps very little if at all with the cost of insurance. Raises are minimal or nonexistent. 4 years with no raise is a long time.

Used To Be Great
Engineer (Current Employee) –  Euclid, OHFebruary 18, 2017
Lincoln used to care about its employees. Now they only care about corporate greed.
Only promote the good old boys club. Management bullies at every level. Purposely, screw with the employees because they can.
Benefits don't exist.
Annual bonus is only a wage adjustment.
Wages are low.

None
Cons
