Good company, used to be better
Senior Software Engineer (Former Employee) - Sunnyvale, CA - September 13, 2023
LinkedIn used to be a place with great work-life balance and competitive pay. After Jeff left it sort of went downhill and now it is normal to receive no extra compensation for above-average performance.

Best Work Experience I ever had and I feel like nothing will top my experience there
Project Manager (Former Employee) - Sunnyvale, CA - September 7, 2023
Important to note I was an Intern there for 7 months. I worked with a really great team in the productivity department. My manager and it felt like all the managers there were amazing to talk to. The culture there was unlike no other. Many people were nice, although shy but still nice.

Salaries are not on the top of segment, but culture, benefits and life/work balance make up for it. Could not recommend enough, it is a fantastic place to be part of.

Great Place
Facilities Manager (Former Employee) - Omaha, NE - July 28, 2023
Perks are great, not expected to have to work very hard, close down two weeks each year, free food, free breakfast, free lunch, nice people for the most part.

Just so so for Infra
SWE (Current Employee) - California - May 22, 2023
For Infra org only, lots of tedious work, poor communication, and endless on-call. Legacy code sucks. Bad WLB now for Infra engineer. Managers and skip don't care about their team members and only want to promote.

Collegial and collaborative environment; opportunity to work remotely and move internally within the company; recent RIF has affected culture slightly

Great benefits
IT Support Consultant (Current Employee) - Omaha, NE - May 9, 2023
Great benefits, great culture and makes you feel at home. Amenities in the office are really nice and they allow for reimbursements on many things such as home office

Great work life balance
Software Engineer (Current Employee) - Mountain View, CA - May 2, 2023
LinkedIn is a great technology company. Great employee benefits like free food, monthly company events, free lattes, and even a $2000 per year stipend to spend towards your wellness.

Server
Server (Former Employee) - Portsmouth, VA - April 30, 2023
Truly the most horrible place to work. Management is nonexistent. Was taken off the schedule by the owner for a month abruptly after working there for almost two months because I did not have a food handlers card. If the company was so stern about taking a food handlers course then, they probably just have made sure I had one before they hired me. Was given no instructions on how to access the course nor was given any type of direct warning about being taken off the schedule. It is astonishing to me the owner took me off the schedule with no one to replace me while they are short staffed. It is very disrespectful to their employees to not even accommodate to their daily lives on what they have going on. Don't bother working here. You will work hard for the company and receive no positive reinforcement or respect. There is several managers, and no communication from the owners so good luck actually being treated with respect here. Just don’t waste your time here and find something that is worth your time. Extremely short staffed and everyone calls out so good luck doing everyone else's job including your own. No bussers so they will pay you 3$ as a server but make you do server and busser work. RUN!

Fun place to work, lots of benefits
Billing Support Specialist (Former Employee) - Omaha, NE - April 26, 2023
Benefits were great. Enjoyed and appreciated the company culture. Laid back work environment and adequate training. Team members were extremely supportive. Did at time feel like high school cliques but the good news is there is so many people and departments, it’s hard not to fit in somewhere.

Overall a good place to work but one thing....
Software Engineer (Current Employee) - Carpinteria, CA - April 25, 2023
The company overall is very generous and has a good culture. The inDays you get off each month really help with work/life balance. Stock options are helpful and good. The only bad thing I would say is the we are going to pip (performance improvement plan) people for no good reason. You think you are doing fine and then bam your on pip with no warning.

Very people first company. I feel so appreciative to have LinkedIn as my employer. They also do great training managers. I have had 3 managers in 3.5 years and all have been great.

Good company in benefits and cheapest and worst company in Layoffs.
Sr Staff Software Engineer (Current Employee) - Sunnyvale, CA - April 17, 2023
Learning: Lot of opportunities to learn. InDay and linkedIn learning. Managers: "Lipstick on Pigs" Work: "Rotating wheels in mud" Culture: 10% PIP every 6 months. Target to layoff people without any severance
Pros
Free breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Cons
Management not good.

LinkedIn Understands Culture Eats Strategy for Breakfast
Sales Readiness (Former Employee) - Colorado - March 29, 2023
As the world's largest professional social network, LinkedIn should set the standard for how companies should embrace culture - and they do! As a whole, people genuinely care about one another, and are always willing to jump into complex challenges to help solve a common goal. LinkedIn is an amazing place to develop long-lasting professional relationships and is full of extremely intelligent professionals who are willing to take intelligent risks and challenge the status quo. As with most companies, there are pockets of orgs whose culture doesn't quite match the overarching culture. Global Sales Enablement at LinkedIn struggled with this at times during my multi-year tenure at LinkedIn
Pros
Unlimited Discretionary Time Off
Cons
Pockets of toxicity in certain orgs

Good Company that Could be Great
Account Executive (Current Employee) - Remote - March 16, 2023
LinkedIn strives for an employee first culture. The benefits package is amazing, however the pay is low for the industry. The onboarding and training is abysmal. You will be held responsible to sell products with you have no training on. Prospective Employees Beware!

Good when times are good, not so much when times aren't
Production Manager (Current Employee) - Sunnyvale, CA - March 13, 2023
Linkedin has great benefits and some folks care, but management is generally inexperienced and struggles to handle difficult times. There enterprise business is struggling to show value for the prices they charge
