Actually listen to employees.
They have a lean team but it's just a group of individuals that don't work on the floor at all. As an employee I have had an issue with my supervisor for over a year. The plant manager dismisses anything I have to say. Mind you, it's not aggressive.
I always have a calm, clear, and we'll thought out plan before I go to management. I can't go to my supervisor because he literally makes me feel like I'm stupid and have no idea what I'm talking about. Then my supervisor will go to the plant manager and propose my idea. Get it approved and claim that he thought of it.
I have been dealing with this for a year. I've tried to transfer to another department and plant but the plant manager just says " you don't wanna be a team player? I thought I knew you better."
So in that sense I feel trapped. I need a job . . . Because everyone does.

Just yesterday my supervisor took a year's worth of notes and planning that I have been working on. Presented it to the production meeting. They loved it! Except. . . My supervisor turned it in as his work.

Now I have a even smaller position that is no longer in receiving. (I was the plant material handler) I work on the production floor now. But I'm still considered a receiver.

I have never been compensated for anything. I have even used my own money to purchase small items for the job.

So if I were in a higher position I would listen to my employees. Fix the broken communication. And get everyone on the same page. I would never treat anyone with the disrespect that I have been dealing with.
