Language Analyst (Current Employee) –  Washington, DCJuly 11, 2018
The salary is great but the benefits could be a little better as far as vacation days, 401K matching (which isn't very much), but overall a positive experience.

Ok company, it could be better
Site Supervisor (Former Employee) –  TexasApril 7, 2018
It is an okay company to work for. The only thing is that they only have temp assignments, and once assignment is over, you are out of work. Assignments just 30 days long, they may be renewed occasionally. Project manager kind of mean. She promised additional work that never happened. Then she refused to give references.
Pros
Per diem
Cons
No health, 401k, holidays or vacation benefits

Okay company to work at. Great, if you like working in a small business. Cool work environment with minimal opportunity to advance in the chain of command.

Legal Interpreting Services offers interpreting and translation services to their clients around the borrows. So anytime that you get an assignment the location you go will change, so the environment.

Freelance Spanish Interpreter (Current Employee) –  Brooklyn, NYMarch 21, 2017
I work for Legal Interpreting Services as a freelance Spanish interpreter. The work opportunities are unpredictable. It is not steady work. You will get paid 45 days after a job assignment is completed. Therefore, you must not rely on this company for a stable salary if you work as a freelancer.
Pros
Free Water
Cons
Unstable

great company
independent interpreter (Current Employee) –  New YorkJune 5, 2015
I've been working for LIS for over 18 years. Management and staff are very professional and friendly. When I get a call from LIS I always prefer their assignments to any other. Over the years I've grown as a professional and as a person with this company, making friends with tens if not hundreds of fellow interpreters.
