Respect for individual and family needs has been the philosophy of Living Well Disability Services from the beginning. Over time, a “person-centered” approach was developed to emphasize what every person with disabilities wanted, needed and hoped for in their future.

At Living Well Disability Services we have provided invaluable support for hundreds of people impacted by disabilities every hour of every day for the last 49 years. We serve 300 people in 37 group homes and through customized in-home services with over 500 staff and 770 volunteers. Almost 80% of our employees are women, and just over 50% are people of color. We are committed to the communities we hold dear, the people we support who deserve quality care, and the employees who do heartwarming but hard work daily.

Good company and it was very rewarding, but ultimately I needed to transition to my current career. High need for individuals in management positions, but they weren't willing to budge on the requirements. No complaints with the company.

What is the best part of working at the company? The individuals in the home and the care staff. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The COO is awful and incompetent. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? If the COO was gone, the organization would be completely different. He’s holding the company back.

This job is very rewarding. Your work has a direct impact on the clients. There is a fair amount of training year round. I have worked in a group home but much preferred working in Customized Services.

I really love working at living well the residents are pretty cool to do things with its lots of fun everyone is mostly really independent this organization really cares for its residents and employees.
Program Manager in Minnesota

This is an organization that is in flux. The homes are understaffed. This leaves Program Managers, Assistant Managers, and DSPs working way to many hours. Corporate positions have turned over multiple times in the past few years.
