They will work your butt off

Indeed Featured review

I’m not gonna talk completely bad about this place because not everything is bad, but the way they manage it, you’re just a number running like a hamster on a hamster wheel. If you’re able to hit the metrics and standards, you’re a rockstar but the second, you can’t do to one thing or another you’re slowly going to be pushed out the door, the culture is extremely poor and coming from a company that’s extremely successful. I would’ve expected more out of this company but instead they gave me a worst experience than working at the hardest factories.

Pros

Employee discounts at United Supermarkets and decent benefits

Cons

Long hours, poor management, almost make you skip brakes to hit metrics👎

And a lunch that you should cut short to keep your time up.

This place is ran like a hamster wheel

To be specific, a typical day in the life of Linao employee is you don't know your schedule from week to week they rarely tell you you're going to 6 days a week until the next week which is absolute trash, The problem with places like these is the culture is so far behind other businesses similar and their pay scale is always the least paying warehouse it doesn't matter where, it's always going to pay less they can never seem to catch up you almost have to quit which is what I did in order to get a wage that makes sense even though they raised wages this year it was 7% less than the competition was paying. Also if you leave early because you have to start a new job don't expect them to pay out your time owed they'll make up some excuse not to pay it or if you're late a few times the things you used to could slack on forget about it they're going to go straight hardcore macro management because they can for now but things will change in the future. They're turnover is like 80% which means if they bring in 40 people in a month they're going to lose approximately 30 to almost all of them it's just how it is, warehouse life is hard on the body and it's usually not a long-term solution unless you are lucky enough to advance into a position that's not a constant hamster wheel running around for literally pennies and management y'all act like it's still 1990 learn how to adapt to the future or get left behind that's all I have. By the way it's places like this are the reason why they keep passing regulation because places like this keep undermining the law and every possible way -

Pros

United supermarket discounts, decent hours

Cons

Less than average wages, unpredictable hours from week to week and poor management

Stable and Nice People

It was a slower job as there wasn't much to clean up aside from wood chips from pallets and compacting trash each day, but the schedule was based on how fast the order pickers were so you were not off at the same time every day.

A place to go for decent employment but not a career

They are way too strict about your time on order selection as well as forklift let downs. They care more about numbers then they do the actual employees. Management is played on favoritism and close friends over those who actually deserve the positions. It is overall not a bad place to work but would not recommend it as a career unless you're starting out higher up in management or in one of the office jobs.

Pros

Employee appreciation meals

Cons

Push hitting your performance times too hard

Hard Work, Lots of Opportunity

The order selector job is very fast paced and physical but doable. Lots of opportunity to move up. Management does a good job of showing appreciation!

Production

I think my tenure at Llanos was well spent and well taught.....My biggest influence was how i had a supportive team........I'm a fast learner and this helped me flourish while at Llanos.

Horrible management

Don't care about the employees and work you 6 days a week. Managements the worst part about working there. The pay is really good but is hard work when you first start

It’s a production job so it’s gonna suck

It could definitely pay more and work on their management most guys don’t care and have given up helping the new guys and help their buddies more. There’s always room to improve.

If you are bad at your job they reward you. If you work hard they give you all of the slackers work too. they abuse you in this way.

The place is being run into the ground with slackers and Management is weak. Some nice people there though. Buddy system. If you are not in with them you are hung out to dry.

Pros

great extras like free food and bonus programs

Cons

the insurance is horrid. You have to fight for raises and they do not give you what is promised.

Good company to work for.

Management is very good about helping, training and supporting staff. Promote from within, work hard and you can climb up the ladder to a successful career.

Nothing

The management don't know what they are doing and should never have been hired for the position they treat you like you're nothing it supposed to be a family feeling but they don't care about you or anything else but there money

Selectors

They'll work you. Company has a super high turnover rate. Management could be better in the warehouse, transportation management that I dealt with didn't care and I always felt un appreciated. This place doesn't care about your family and in the years I've been there family oriented has gone out the window.

Pros

Selectors make more money than managers

Cons

You can be there for a decade and selectors will make more than you

Great pay, requires a lot of personal time investment and sacrifice

Regardless of what shift you work you're either starting early or getting out late which in and of itself is one of the hardest parts of the job on top of the lack of consistent shift lengths due to the variability of available work makes work/life balance difficult and is one reason a lot of people don't stay. When first starting out and especially if this is your first time in this type of work, selecting can be difficult and takes several months to almost a year for me personally to master and then consistently hit max incentive pay. That being said, you can make really good money if you have the discipline and work ethic to do so however, that can be difficult having to put up with people who couldn't care less and do the bear minimum everyday. Historically, employee attendance is a huge problem and has one of the highest turnover rates in Lubbock, which can makes days super long having a combination of a lack of selectors and inexperienced ones that can make work grueling for some days and even weeks. Overall, management treats you well if you're a hard worker at the cost of expecting more out of you once you've proven yourself. I emphasize this because of all the selectors that work there, the hardest working and most efficient minority is responsible and held accountable for a majority of the work with driving the motivated workers to push harder while slackers aren't pushed beyond the limit they're willing to work. That being said, there are several coworkers and managers here that are good people, but the amount of ridiculous shenanigans and conditions at times is the -
