Account Executive (Current Employee) –  St. Louis, MONovember 28, 2018
There are no women in senior leadership (US). Like actually zero. Yup, it is 2018.

Lockton is a fast paced environment, need to be a self-starter.

Tons of growth, lots of autonomy.

Great experience at Lockton. They spend time investing in all their employees regardless of tenure. Culture is everything and they spend time to make sure everyone is heard and a part of the team goals.

Work hard environment! The play hard part is only for certain positions.
Acct Administrator/Lead Technical Service Assist (Current Employee) –  Atlanta, GAOctober 17, 2018
Lockton speed tends to burn an individual out. Fast past, multi tasking, problem solving, constant deadlines, long hours, problem solving, training staff, onboarding of other associates, etc.
Pros
Great benefits.
Cons
Culture is more for the recent college grads and not so much for long term employees.

Great company but since merger to One TX the decisions on Management roles were poor. This was not addressed and continues to allow conflict of interest within departments.

I worked here for about a year, it was okay. They are a brokerage organization and handle many benefits for different employees. If they lose a contract they will let go of employees.
Pros
Winter Parties
Cons
If contracts are lost then you have no job

Basic customer service (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TXAugust 8, 2018
Loved all the people that i worked with. It was very fast-paced but we also had a lot of fun as well.
The hardest part of my job was the renewals they were long a tedious, that was when i would work the most hours, but in the end it was a great feeling when it was all done and you could clean out your inbox.

Every office has their own culture
Account Executive (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXJuly 19, 2018
Each office operates separately from HQ so there's a different culture by location. Things can be good, but there's a lot of factors on whether it will work out for you personally. My former coworkers are tightly managed (as if they are slackers, which they aren't).

Clients can be demanding and unreasonable. No support if the client abuses you because business revenue comes first.
Pros
Standard work week is 37.5 hours and non-exempts are paid OT for hours worked over that amount.
Cons
Brokers are unofficial bosses, HR really doesn't manage anything, Office politics

Very productive office - you will do the work of 3 employees
Senior Account Manager (Former Employee) –  Scottsdale, AZMay 24, 2018
This is a place that will burn out their employees very quickly. This is a good job for someone in their 20's who has the time and energy to be burned out by 30.
Pros
Open hours
Cons

Love the people terrible culture
Associate Account Manager (Former Employee) –  Kansas City, MOMay 22, 2018
I loved my peers, however was terribly micromanaged. No matter how good of a job you were told it wasn't enough. You get run into the ground and they expect you to work demanding hours even though they say they don't.

There is constant turnover and management changes. If you have a good manager it is a good experience if they are bad, it is awful.
Pros
Location; People

Very Political
Account Executive (Current Employee) –  Dallas, TXApril 26, 2018
Some teams work very well together while others do not. Their is very little movement between teams so you have to start on the right team or success will be difficult. The politics is very high behind the scenes. Training is sink or swim for entry level. For mid-level personnel, training is available but scattered and unorganized. It may as well be non-existent.
