Productive but costly

The ability to complete task and objectives given is self directed. The ability to advance the culture and operational improvement is meet with resistance and toxic at times. You will advance if you do not seek to improve based on ability or knowledge which you may bring to the table, but base work and performance when you only follow directives and objectives as they are set.
This culture is not a top down, but more a a middle management issue which fails to be addressed by those in top management. While the opportunities are available, you must look to change to advance your career and not expect to remain in the same department or even physical location.
The company is very forward thinking in providing such things as employee travel, but it will come at a cost and with many restrictions, so be sure you understand those prior to participation. Many positions are for single non-family due to work hours and need to be progressive in many after hour activities.
