Driver (Former Employee) –  Long Beach, CAJuly 1, 2018
I was excited to work there at the beginning but unfortunately i felt compelled to resign. I normally get along with people but if someone hits you in the face and you respond I would tend to agree with your response.
Pros
reliable
Cons

System Administrator (Current Employee) –  Long Beach, CAMarch 5, 2018
After the old CEO retired 3 years ago and the new one moved in the place just changed. It's not much different from when there is change anywhere. The culture just took a change I'm not happy with.

Much of the work was done by consultants. Being an intern was great during school, not the best experience, minimal diversity in tasks. Very nice people.

Great place to work, very friendly and customer service oriented. Help was always there when needed and even offered. The most enjoyable part of the job was getting to meet and work with great people who not only enjoyed what they did but were very knowledgeable.

Training Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Long Beach, CAMay 6, 2015
A typical day of work at Long Beach Transit could consist of training new student operators on SOP, driving 40, 42, 43 and 60 ft coaches. Conducting refresher training and safety retraining. Teamwork is top notch and very professional. The hardest part of the job is terminating a person that puts in the effort but just can't grasp the training, but the best part is seeing the student as an Operator than as a Supervisor.
Pros
9/80 work day
Cons
Working with people who complain of working there.

Service Planning Intern (Former Employee) –  Long Beach, CAMarch 27, 2015
Long Beach Transit is a place valued team work, having friendly co-workers. The department I worked with gives everyone, even an intern, a chance to select the project he/she is most interested in.
