Matthew Long, the founder of Longhouse, attended University of Washington, where he earned Bachelor and Master Degrees (1997). In 2009, after talking with thousands of seniors, he was determined to provide a counterbalance to all the forces that pull seniors out of home environments. He founded Husky Senior Care (2009) to help seniors stay at home and Longhouse (2017) in case they can't stay at home.
