Awful. Your start time will change without notice. Routes get canceled all the time, which means people get moved around and have to do double or triple the work. Don't bother making plans in the evening, you won't make it on time.

Fayetteville, AR - on route there is NO overtime. The only time you get it is if you work 6 days a week and the overtime is only for the 6th day. Most Saturdays are only 5 hours of work. So you put in 60 hours Monday through Friday and get 5 hours overtime if you work Saturday.

When I was hired I was told we get a 30 minute lunch and need to call it in so we would be clicked out. Looked at state and federal laws on this and since you are still "working" (maintaining the security of the vehicle) then you get paid for your lunch break. Same laws also state that you get 10 minute breaks for every 4 hours worked.

A lot of times though, it depends on your work load whether or not you take breaks or if you even feel like it. I once was on route for 12+ hours where I didn't take a single break and my partner only took a 3 minute bathroom break and we just barely made each of our stops.

Being on route, it's usually at your own discretion.

I don't know if you've interviewed at this point, but you should apply. It never hurts to try. You say you have a clean background and are willing to work as needed, so I don't know why they wouldn't at least interview you. Good luck. I know how difficult it is to be searching for a job. It's been a while since you asked, so maybe you've found something at this point.
