It all depends on what you're applying for. In my case, it took about 4 months to go through with the testing, interviews, assessments hiring and paperwork process.

For B&G Workers takes months 60 hours of custodial training and fingerprinting to FBI and you must pay for it pass the written test . Pass the oral exam your name is placed on hiring list at school you go through the interview process if the school likes you you got the job.

It depends on what job your applying for. For Special Ed. Assistant it takes awhile. 600 hours of substitute or volunteering. 2 tests that take a month each and a 3rd or your AA Degree. Then don't forget finger printing and waiting for those results. I had savings while I was going through the whole process but it was well worth it.

Training is 40 hrs in a classroom, then 30 hrs behind the wheel training. Takes about 2 months training total.
After you have finished training and gotten your credentials, they put you on a waiting list and might take up to a year to be hired.

Before getting hired, I took a few basic assessments in math, English and sports. These assessments helped determine whether or not what I had put onto my resume was true and it reflected it. I got interviewed and within a month or so, I got hired. My experience working in this environment helped me to become a positive person and it helped me obtain confidence and patience in myself and others.
