Healthcare, dental and paid time off. PTO included both annual leave and sick leave. the basic holiday are granted and/or paid time and half when worked. On call positions are are available.

I liked that I was clinically challenged as well as provided opportunities to improve patient flow and nursing care. The complexity of balancing staff schedules on daily, weekly, monthly basis to ensure work-life balance enhanced my abilities to look for all available resources and utilize them as appropriate for a multitude of clinical units across the Downtown Medical center, Westside and Women's hospital locations.

Before Lovelace was purchased by a large company back east, it was a great place to work. Staff had longevity and were happy. Because the new company is more concerned about the bottom line than the staff, there is turnover and a lot of travelers.
