First I would update my software and interfaces especially online pick up so that employees and customers could actually use it. I would actually trust my employees and give them the tools to do their jobs. But then again I wouldn't be drooling over the tax breaks for hiring certain types of people and I would fully vet everyone before hiring. I would do away with positions that make absolutely no sense in a retail environment and hire more Full Time people to wait on customers who are actually physically fit enough to do the work. I would raise employee wages to make it a more attractive company to want to work for. My pricing signs would be automated negating the need to waste money and a position on pricing. My employees would never work more than five days in a row unless they volunteered for it. I would hire according to shifts and do away with the rotating shifts. Pretty much the exact opposite of what Lowes does now.

If I was in charge all of my employers would have rotating weekends off. I would request updated cashier's systems remove the old ones. I would put computers systems in each aisle to answer customers questions about location of a product. I would also have paper and pens for customers to write down item numbers of screws or a printed computer system to print out a sticker of the product.
