I’m sick to my stomach everyday I go to work. On a daily basis you may have 50 incoming phone calls, and expected to make 50 outgoing calls. You will have several customer interactions that you are expected to gain as much information about their job as you can. You are expected to load out customers , unload a truck, tag a new sale, build quotes, update a planogram, mop the floors, clean the bathroom.. the list goes on and on. The catch??? 2-3 PEOPLE WORKING on any given day. You may have 3 customers in the store and 2 load outs at the same time. You may come to the the end of the day and you realize you still have 40 calls to make, with a whole truck to put away. Overtime is not allowed and you also cannot hire anyone else. You leave everyday exhausted and feeling unaccomplished. You know you gave it your all and it wasn’t good enough. That’s also when you find out you are having a VP visit. Of course when they show up the phone doesn’t ring , there are no load outs and one customer in the store they try to help , and they “show” you how easy it is.

Store manager will usually be off Sunday and one other day being Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday are mandatory. 52+ hours weekly.

Assistant managers up to 40 hours limited to no over time. Days off depend on your store manager if they’re split or back to back. You will work every Saturday and Sunday

I use to love it..not so much anymore . They have made it a horrible place to work. It's overly stressful at the store levels. too stressful for only selling flooring. The founders motto of " sell wood and have fun doing it" is dead and gone. If things aren't tagged just right in your warehouse you may get fired.

I’ve never been able to use all of my vacation time. You are usually understaffed and vacation time for one person usually means extra days for another person. On paper vacation time looks great, but as soon as you take the position the paper get crumbled up and it’s all about “business needs”.

I would say they are, however because you are in sales environment and half of sales is selling yourself I would say that piercings and tattoos while not forbidden might hinder your performance. So I would recommend not wearing them or having tattoos covered so as to not potentially be a hindrance to your performance.
