Centurylink hires anyone. Especially the for tech jobs in Iowa. The techs in Iowa are constantly complaining how bad, Rotten and dysfunctional Centurylink.
More than hating on Cenurylink they
have no respect for themselves, their
coworkers or the Manager who they
are always laughing at behind his back.
It takes 20 minutes to get hired.
The people working in fast food are the ones hired by Centurylink closing out trouble tickets on circuits that are not fixed. Because “we don’t have enough
people to actually fix these troubles”
The Manager of the Central Offices
in Iowa is calling himself a Director now.
He must be so proud of how he has trained his central offices techs. He not really a Director. He is more Jr. tech.
First interview, second interview, drug screening, onboarding, and then training.
All the steps are performed in sequence
My experience probably took longer than most because of applying during the beginning of a mass hiring event. The hiring was handled by a single recruiter located out of state. First phone call for an interview was only three days after submitting my application. The next month and half was playing phone tag with the recruiter for setting up the interview date. Application was sent in beginning of January and first day on the job was second week of March

MJ is legal on a state level, not federal so CenturyLink will not hire you with MJ positive on your drug screen, nor will most companies.
I'm curious about the drug test - what do they test for given MJ is legal in Colorado and CenturyLink is based in Colorado.
Probably 6. App, tests, 2 interviews, drug tests, background checks, etc.
About 3 weeks. Interviewed twice and received the offer. The company was acquired by a competitor some time ago.
