Terrible work ethics, abusive management and poor compensation.
Computers were outdated, lacked resources and necessary tools like Photoshop and basic needs for copies/printing presentations.
Very discouraging to work for an employer who was not just verbally abusive, but compensated their employees with yearly salaries that fell below the cost of one piece of furniture sold in the showroom.
In one single project, which averaged between 100K to 1.5 million, the commission was only .1%. Not even 1%. That is close to nothing considering federal taxes took close to 40% of it.
Challenging, invigorating, inspirational and extremely educational.
Senior Design Sales Associate (Former Employee) – Chicago, IL – March 31, 2019
My experience and impressions were positive yet very challenging. I had exceptional mentors and managers who invested their time and knowledge in supporting me which provided me with the confidence and motivation in achieving the targets and goals required. (It truly does "take a village")
Exposure to multi talented associates, marquee brands, world renowned labels, and extremely educated clients.
100% commission as compensation detrimental for employees without the proper training and skills.
