Great and productive place to work
MSW Intern (Current Employee) –  Charlotte, NCMarch 12, 2019
This can be both a slow and quick paced environment to work for. This all depends on you as a case manager and the client that you are servicing. This is definitely a place that believes in teamwork. You have to be able to work with everyone at this agency that has a different position than you. Everyone at this agency can benefit you and your clients.
Pros
Lengthy time to get your notes in and time to be out in the community.

Residential Counselor (Former Employee) –  Columbia, SCOctober 16, 2018
A typical day is how you plan the day. If there's no activities planned the day will be boring. There is a lot of cleaning. Sometimes the clients have behaviors. It's very stressful and optimistic.

Foster Care Coordinator/ Case Manager (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCJuly 16, 2018
The work culture is not a good one. The supervisor of foster care is a bully and attempts to bully anyone who does not agree with her. She creates a very hostile work environment.
Pros
Donations for the children
Cons
Supervisors are not aware what is expected of the job, Staff is more knowledgeable than the supevisors

Foster Care Licensing, Trainer and Recruiter (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCNovember 8, 2017
Lutheran service was a very diverse, family friendly, client focus environment . Management was very involved with staff concerns to ensure productivity and client focus remain a priority. The hardest part of the job was having to tell a parent that their visitation rights had been suspended. The most enjoyable part of the job was reunification of the child back with the birth families.

travel reimbursment

Field Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Raleigh, NCOctober 30, 2017
Well meaning family services organization.

Many great people there, but very chaotic organizational structure. the company runs so many different programs serving so many different populations and has a one size fits all approach. They try to take on so many governement contracts and are doing too many things and very few things well. Careless and archaic hiring practices, many unprofessional and unqualified employees, poor leadership. Employees are over worked and underpaid- not valued.

Great Place to work
Disaster Case Manager (Current Employee) –  Columbia, SCSeptember 7, 2017
LSC is very flexible and understanding. There are great expectations and plenty of assistance along the way to meet them. LSC has been a great place to work because being in the field helped me learn my way around a city I had just relocated to. I have enjoyed the freedom of being able to set my own hours and not be micromanaged.

A good compnay to work for
Residential Counselor I (Former Employee) –  Raleigh, NCApril 18, 2017
These job was an enjoyable and the work place was well run. This was a difficult place to leave and only because the manager was allowing a personal matter to rule her ability to mange did it result in my final decision to leave. The additional reason was the schedule that did not permit me the time to be with my family as much as I would like.

CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (Current Employee) –  Hickory, NCNovember 4, 2016
A lot of people from staff, coworkers, and management are just rude. Easy to get hired and good for experience. you have to be careful about everyone you work with and always cautious about what you do. The patients and there families is the only reason I have stayed at Trinity Village.

A non-profit Organization walking together with all in whom they serve
Licensing, and Recruitment Specialist (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCApril 18, 2016
Family ,Child Friendly Non- Profit Organization that has the ability and strong desire to meet the needs of every stage of life. Whether, child placement, refugee, veteran or elderly , it is the Mission of Lutheran Services to Walk with All in they serve.
In a very rapid and growing society it can be very overwhelming for families who lack resources and finances that it takes to meet the corporate needs of family. It takes a community to ensure the needs of families and children who are these circumstances to work collaboratively to ensure that no family or child lacks the basic care needs in order to survive. Lutheran is that community.
The most difficult part of the job is having to watch the children who have not been awarded reunification back with there birth families.
The most enjoyable part of the job is to see those children being with families that love, protect and provide for them .
Pros
Continued Professional Development, Travel Reimbursement, Benefits

ACTT Clinician, Vocational Specialist (Current Employee) –  Chapel Hill, NCApril 21, 2015
A typical day at work includes meeting as a team in the morning to discuss and review all client's, determine needs and develop a schedule for the day. Staff will discuss any recent crises that have occurred and any additional follow up work that is required. Following morning team meeting, each clinician on the team goes out into the community to engage in work with client's, providing medication management, housing support, substance abuse support, vocational support and both individual and group therapy. Clinicians also support clients with attending medical appointments, when scheduled, and crisis intervention and response both during work hours and after.
