The salary wasn’t enough, you work all day sometimes and you make less than $70, and for me that’s not enough here in Washington dc area, that’s why I wanted to find a better job

Pay wasn't great. Drove for 2 hours with just 1 ride and made under 30 dollars. The only good thing about Lyft is you make your own hours but if you are a working mother the hours that make the best money are sometimes hours you can't work.

Pretty simple, good side job. If the riders tip you can do well, I used to work about 4 hours and make at least $100. Just have to clean your car often as the riders track in dirt and stuff.

I love the flexibility, meeting people, and seeing new places. The pay is almost what you make of it. The disappointments come in the form of what I call "algorithmic ride optimizations" and these are what lead to daily ride cancelations for the driver and rider. The driver sees the worst side of this because said driver has now lost that trip to optimize the riders' wait time. For me this has resulted in losing a long-distance high fare ride, and in some cases still waiting and driving a significant distance before getting another trip.

Its a good side gig nothing Id quit my day job for the car rental is horrible if you want to make any money a lot goes back to paying for the rental and if you are sick and cant make the minimum required per week you have to give the car back
