Yes. It breaks down to just under $1000 per month if you only get the 20 ride minimum. If you can put in 40+ hours(say 5 days), focused on busy times you can often get 85+ per week and clear around $400 before taxes. In order to make a living and pay bills, you really need to put in 45-55 hours per week minimum. If you want to be financially stable, it requires 55-65+ hours per week and 90++ rides. It's really more like Indentured servitude. Make sure you check toll reimbursements, they deliberately short change drivers on tolls, while charging passengers the full posted toll rate. Literally every toll I have paid in 1800+ rides was 6¢ or more short.

They said rent would $185 a week, but it's actually MUCH higher with fees & taxes, etc. I work two or three days a week just to pay for car rental. Then gas, which has gone way up. Getting out as fast as I can.

I suggest you save some money and buy a car for under $3,000 and you can make it back very quickly do not spend money on a leased vehicle or your own car go out and buy a car and use it strictly for Lyft or Uber that is your best option there's millions of them out there I bought a 2005 Equinox for $2,000 and I've already made 6000 so I'm up for buy you a car that you only use for Lyft and Uber

It cost about $900 a month without bonuses to lease. The bonus requirements are hard to meet. You wil end up working long hours just to pay for the car. If for some reason you don’t make enough because you are sick or some other hardship they auto deduct it out of your bank account. I would NOT recomendable it.

Yes, you can rent a car to use for Lyft, and while you won't be able to participate in some of the normal driving bonuses, they do offer rental rewards...meaning, basically, the more you drive, the less you pay for your rental every week.
