mediocre wages(12-18 per hour)
poor health benefits
no dental or vision coverage
very high and low pay weeks, some work weeks are overflowing and other times there is nothing for 2-3 weeks
would rather keep poor performing employees due to need of personnel
poor training for new employees
would rather spend more money on cheap tools and on installs than to spend a few extra to ensure safety and make sure everything is at its best

different sections have drastically different responsibilities

It depends on what department you work in. The factory is good if you value your personal time, and service is good if you don't mind being on the road working with very little break.
