MTV Networks kept our minds sharp and details in tack for every promo (off air or on) delivered. Learned how to communicate and be a team leader as well as a player. Enjoyed going to work, friendly and fast paced environment.
Junior Editor for several (Former Employee) – New York, NY – March 17, 2018
Good place and location, reasonable on most fronts, friendly people. I just wish that it wasn't a temporary gig. My only complaint is the process of working there seemed a little sloppy; it took weeks to get a key to the place.
Talent Director (Former Employee) – New York, NY – February 22, 2018
MTV was my first job out f college and I couldn't have asked for better job opportunity. i worked with the best team and friends that I now call family. I was able to transition from being accepted as an executive assistant and leaving 15 years later a a Talent Director due to Lay offs. It was a great creative environment. They gave you the freedom to be who you are creatively and professionally. Cons was definitely low pay and it took some time to be able to get promoted.
Hair stylist/ barber/ hair stylist assistant (Former Employee) – Phoenix, AZ – February 18, 2018
It was really nice to travel and see the world and experience new cultures and different ways of living than what I'm use to. I also learned alot about business. The hardest part of the job was executing custom cuts and designs that some clients would come up with.
Executive Assistant to the SVP of VH1 Research (Former Employee) – New York, NY – February 8, 2018
A typical day at MTV Networks was busy and fun. I published the ratings for the entire company every afternoon, answered phones, handled travel arrangements and expense reports for my boss. I sat in on the department meeting so I was aware of what was happening for the week. Best part of the job was the perks of the parties and meeting fun cable celebrities. Most enjoyable part of the job was the relationships I made there with my boss and co-workers.
Sales Executive / Affiliate Sales and Marketing (Former Employee) – Atlanta, GA – January 23, 2018
I loved worked at MTV/Viacom. I was able to grow as a sales person and was surrounded by smart people. I was promoted several times and when they decided to close the Atlanta office, I was offered a job in NY, but I turned it down.
