The pay is terrible, but my team is great.i would miss my team, but I'm struggling to make a living at making less than 30000 annually before taxes and expense for a sales lead position, which is basically juggling the duties of the store manager without the store manager pay. The higher positions pay salary and the other positions pay hourly. I wish there was salary for all management positions, because having to bring as much hours as possible to get over time pay so I could buy food was ridulous. Many of the.management actually worked there for years and we're very knowledgeable but they must have a much higher.pay threshold since they could shop without worry. I had to budget everything. I wish these jobs at least provided comfortable shoes for all the walking that you do because I was doing over 13000 steps each day I worked and I had to buy more comfortable shoes that would last all day for comfort.

Very low hours, was hired as part time which turned to flex which turned to seasonal. I would call this company heartless to say the least. Pay is extremely low compared to expectations.

I couldn't afford to make a living. I had a lead position but was making less than 28000 full time before taxes and expenses and basically making less than 20000 with expenses and rent. It was tough to do a management job when I had to constantly search for affordable housing and ways to cut expenses to afford to eat and have housing.

Management favors anyone who opens credit card accounts, regardless of how bad they are at the rest of the job. Customers constantly get mad over coupon exclusions. Have to learn everything on the job with little to no help from anyone.

NO HOURS! Being hired as a FLEX member, though it sounds good--DO NOT. I repeat D NOT TAKE IT. As a flex members, you get the shifts that the part time or full time members do not want. The catch? There is not enough people giving up their shifts! Which, of course I get because we all need money. But Macys, come on-- stop hiring flex members if there are basically noooo shifts available in the first place. Though it is a great concept; at the end of the day the company does not have anyyy hours "left over" for flex team members to also get paid. WE NEED MONEY TOO!

The Restaurant Division of Macy's is lacking in actual restaurant knowledgeable staff, from the top to the bottom employees. And if you do have the knowledge, they try and push you out and any idea(s) you suggest , they tell you it is against policy and than 2 months later they say that is what new policy is. They don't acknowledge any of your hard work or ideas. They want mindless robots not free thinking people. Don't Work for Macy's

Management was awful. Store manager for store 72 was fake, smiled in your face, talked behind your back. Managers was forced to change for the worst. Being pressured and threatened to loose their jobs. Over worked and under paid. Very stressful.
