The Restaurant Division of Macy's is lacking in actual restaurant knowledgeable staff, from the top to the bottom employees. And if you do have the knowledge, they try and push you out and any idea(s) you suggest , they tell you it is against policy and than 2 months later they say that is what new policy is. They don't acknowledge any of your hard work or ideas. They want mindless robots not free thinking people. Don't Work for Macy's

Management was awful. Store manager for store 72 was fake, smiled in your face, talked behind your back. Managers was forced to change for the worst. Being pressured and threatened to loose their jobs. Over worked and under paid. Very stressful.

Disrespectful management, low pay, absurd exceptions for customers, insane workload, manager gossip, not being able to have a mind of my own, and feeling uncomfortable around one of the male sales managers.

I was employed with Macy's for over 30 years. Went from sales to a Senior level Manager. Was unfairly treated and reviewed by upper Management. Went through the open door system to resolve some very unprofessional working conditions in the store. End result in February I got terminated through the lay off process of over 10.000 associates company wide. That showed me how much Macy's valued their employees even though they would have meetings trying to figure out how to increase Magic/ Sales. I learned through this process how little they thought of their employees! I get that the economy has slowed! However you must value the people who you put in place to help you run your company. Without the in put of the people who are actually in the Macy's Store. The Macy's company will not be able to achieve the success it once Had.

Very poor management for the most part. There were a few helpful supervisors and friendly faces, but most were not very understanding of why new hires had problems using their very old systems.
