Shifts a are generated by a computer, not a person. You could close one night, then open the next morning. The managers have no power over scheduling. You can pick up additional shifts through the employee website or swap with an employee if they are willing. If an emergency comes up or you're sick, it'll cost you credits which can lead to termination.
