As a sales associate, hours were very random, you never came in or left at the same time, it is based on demand during sale events. Often you would stay late to cover for no-shows in other departments.

Merchandisers and signing crew have more predictable schedules, but came in early (5am) before store opened, but also got to leave in the early afternoon.

Yes, with each position level they request criminal background, once in management those positions are coded depending on responsibility. Which can include credit checks and social media screening. Hope this helps
