Macy's Sales Associate Review
Okay for seasonal
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Beavercreek, OH - September 15, 2022
Fine for a seasonal job. I hated how much credit cards are pushed especially when majority of the people shopping already have them so meeting that goal sucked.

It was alright

The people who worked there were nice and helpful. The work was okay since you are not doing much, unless you have to stock up your area or its a busy day (mainly the end of the week) . They were not that flexible with my hours and they knew that I was going to school. I also think that one of the managers had favorites because they would get certain people in trouble for using their phone, but there was always other people using their phones.

Same location
If the store is in a dying mall…look elsewhere for employment.
Sales Captain (Management) (Former Employee) - Beavercreek, OH - July 11, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? The only good thing about working here is that you get paid every Friday. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Constantly changing prices of merchandise and re-ticketing of each item. If they would keep their prices consistent and only run sales once a quarter - that would eliminate consumer confusion. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Depends on the location of the store. My last location/district was very “conservative”. However when I worked in a larger city, they were more “liberal” and willing to hire people who were LGBTQ+, Transgender, People of Color, etc. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Again; location, location, location. In the larger city store I worked, it was very relaxed and I had plenty of management support. The smaller store lacked experienced managers in all departments.
