RN Staff Nurse in Rexburg, ID
on January 13, 2022
Great place to work, fast paced, but awesome team dynamics to help out in those busy moments. A lot of new graduate nurses, but they were eager to learn. Charge nurses were great and very supportive. The hospitalists were great to work with. Mutual respect between nurses and physicians.

I worked at mmh for about 6 months. During that time I made friends but, the management was awful. Everything was really unorganized, every time someone would have a suggestion to make our work easier it was shot down. Night Shift would constantly leave stuff for us to do in the morning and there was no communication between the shifts. Higher ups in the company don’t seem to care about the employees below them. The pay is really unfair for the work and if you went above and beyond of your role the management wouldn’t do anything for your sacrifices. The environment was really toxic as well. Made you feel like you couldn’t do anything correctly for them.

Everyone is so friendly. This place of employment is for someone who is self-motivated, don't expect for directions to be given all times. Once you're trained in your job, they let you take ownership of your position, which this is where some people could feel frustrated. If you're self-motivated this is the place for you.

Managers played favorites and did not support or respect staff. Lots of gossiping and complaining. the job itself was good. Loved the work I did. Pay was ok but don't expect decent raises when advancing and I came to not have expectations when it came to promises made by managers in regards to pay upgrades. Good job/work life balance for some but others worked a lot more than others. Managers often are not available or come in late/leave early. Some are not trained on what employees do.

Great student job, co-workers are 90% amazing. Lots of changes needed for this to be a quality work environment however. Computer operating ststem… terrible. Staff treatment of non medical staff… terrible. Zero appreciation for anyone who isnt medical staff, so expect zero respect from other departments if you aren’t. However they are definitely still angels in the midst of the monsters. But admitting’s boss is an angel, just work with her and she’ll defend you as needed when other departments start whining.
