Projects are often short-lived and vary widely. The clients vary widely in sophistication with technology and managerial prowess. The management can be very self-serving. National Markets members are gossipy and back-stabbing.

This review will be brief but Magenic is a very strong employer. They have managers that genuinely care and strive to help you achieve what you want and assist in your growth as an employee.

The work is reasonable and the hours are flexible. Wish I still worked here.

Magenic is a wonderful place to work!
Associate Principal Consultant (Former Employee) –  Saint Louis Park, MNJune 21, 2017
But be aware of the fact that it is a consulting shop, jobs come and go. They are generous in their bench assignments but after being on the bench long enough the company will let you go.

There is a bit of deep silos there because they work with, for example Banking institutions who require secrecy. As a result you are not aware of what other people are working on, in general.

All the Tech Leads are very smart but a few of them are not good collaborators. You may be assigned something of which your not really ready to work for, simply because something was thrown at you with high exceptions on deliverable date that you didn't agree to.

My manager was excellent and made me feel very welcomed. I really appreciated this the most, good managers!
Pros
Get ready to learn more things than you can imagine.
Cons
Some of the Tech Leads do not have people skills.

Very strong leadership and a solid company to work for. They work with your home life and incorporate that into your work life and make it work for both for the good of both parties.

Associate Developer (Current Employee) –  Minneapolis, MNJanuary 25, 2014
The people are caring and grateful, say you haven't worked with a technology before, ask away and there's bound to be someone with time to explain a few things.
Pros
non-strict dress code, caring management
