I just recently was hired into Fazolis and am in week 3 of training. I only have 4 weeks total to train to be a GM of a store in my local area. I previously managed at Wendys (many years ago) when training was of great importance. I have learned that the Manna Group has recently acquired Fazolis as a franchise. My suggestion is to learn a bit from the Wendys management training required.I only accepted this position because I was hopeful that the values were high. What I have found out is that the recent acquirement of Fazolis has left "lifers" in a sense of confusion.
Talk to your employees about things that go on in restaurant
Hire more people with restaurant experience and quit discriminating against people from 20 years ago when they worked for you in High School and give them a chance at re-hire like all the other useless people hired over and over.
Actually a good manager stands back and observe what's going on observing the staff through a complete cycle viewing staffs work and then giving them good feed back on performance WELLS AND BETTERS. before you complain my friend maybe learn what it's like to manage a large group of people

Change upper management, and visit your stores more often. Talk to the crew not only managers. The manager's don't run the store, the crew does because they are the ones doing all the work. The crew get a check every two weeks, the managers get bonuses, three paid vacations and an appreciation party every year to stand and manage. No uplifting the crew, trying to better the crew, applauding the crew or nothing.
