Machine Operator/Assembler (Former Employee) - Mansfield, OH - November 3, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThis is a great place to get started or rebound in life, the pay and benefits are the only downfall, once you get some experience and your life on track it may be more beneficial to move on for pay and benefits purposes. However if you have a good attitude and a good character you can really make the most of life working with the people at this business.
Pros
Great people, reasonable work, clean, safe, fairly easy work.
Cons
Pay and benefits are hard to take care of a family with in this economy.

Productive, supportive, and fun
General Laborer (Former Employee) - Mansfield, OH - September 13, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? One of the best companies I worked for. They manufacture good products and employ people who need second choices in life. It is a true family work environment. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Difficulty maintaining productivity and production when supplies needed to complete product were scarce or delayed . What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Fun and supportive especially if you stay focused and ciomplete your task as requested What is a typical day like for you at the company? It was structured and consistent. You worked your assignment as instructed and took scheduled breaks on time.

Easy work, bad pay and favoritism.
Assembly Line Worker (Former Employee) - Mansfield, OH - September 11, 2023
This place was a wonder place to work for, I worked there for multiple years and loved it. After many years of depending on people to work hard for their money, I found out that is draining. You barely make much money here, you have to depend on your team to actually work to get decent money but even then you could bust your butt to get practically nothing. They also do have their favorites in there, no one listens to your issues. When there is an issue between you a co workers, they don’t do much of anything for you. Also, when you first start and you have an issue with someone that’s been there for years, count on you getting in trouble because they absolutely don’t do anything about the other employee no matter how wrong they are. I do have to say, this is a good place for you to get on your feet if you’re freshly out of high school, prison and homeless. They are a second chance place, but there are a lot of creeps in there regardless. Like I said, I loved the place a year ago but it’s just time to start over.
Pros
Easy work, good people to be around
Cons
Horrible pay, poor communication and favoritism

My team leader is awesome. Most are not
Assembly (Current Employee) - Mansfield, OH - June 27, 2023
If you have a good team leader you can do ok. My team leader is great! Very understanding. The issue is when you get sent to other lines with a bad leader many of lines have machines doing some of the work and you have to load parts for it. Sometimes the machines break down and if the team lead for that machine does not like you you won't get a decent rate and that can bring your whole check down. Some jobs there are down right boring and there are plenty of people willing to stand in one spot and do very little but those people don't get put in those spots. The pay could be way better than it is. The listing for this job says pay is 13.00/ hr. And this is just not true. It's 11.77 plus a 1.40 on time bonus. But my first week there the bonus was 1.50 and they are not shy in telling you that they can lower that or take it away when ever they want. It's a job. Some days are good and some pays are good but there is zero consistency with either one.
Pros
Some good people and management
Cons
No consistency and some bad team leads and co workers

August 17, 2023We'd appreciate an opportunity to discuss your concerns. Our bonus pay system has been in place for many years and gives those teams who get more done the ability to receive higher pay. The system is clearly described in employee manuals and supervisors will always take the time to help answer questions about its guidelines.

Don't do it
General Laborer (Former Employee) - Mansfield - April 4, 2023
The pay is horrible and people in charge do not care about your weekly rate. The higher ups "indirects" that make less then people on the line get away with whatever they want. DO NOT APPLY HERE!

Easy place to work if you end up with a decent team lead I guess.
General Labor (Current Employee) - Mansfield, OH - January 23, 2023
Let me see if you are a indirect employee you can basically hide all day and just pop out when you feel like having a smoke break. Which is at least 8 to 10 times a day. Plus your 3 regular breaks. If the people in charge likes you your day will go smooth. If anyone holding any weight doesn't like you, you might not ever move up here. Also this company doesn't like to fire people they put you somewhere by yourself and hope you quit.
Pros
Take a break whenever you feel like it if you are an indirect employee
Cons
Short break for direct hard working employees

Lowest Wage job around these days
General Assembler (Former Employee) - Mansfield, OH - December 29, 2022
Mostly ex-cons work there, and the place knows it, so they treat everyone poorly. Supervisor was rude and very unprofessional. Policy is you cannot work a spot on the line if you're not trained, yet they put you there and don't train you. They set you up for a fall if they don't like you. Oh yeah and the supervisor's son works on same shift with her...how's that not a conflict of interest? Don't bother with heathcare or dental, they are the lowest of the low.
Pros
clean facility
Cons
low hourly rate with piece rate added, but you never make rate

Very fast pace at times
Assembly Line Production Worker (Current Employee) - Mansfield, OH - September 26, 2022
All the team leads on my shift are very knowledgeable and are willing to show a new employee how to do something at anytime. Supervisors are always available if there's a problem with not being able to do a job or if medical issues arise.

Production
Production Line Worker/Packer (Former Employee) - Mansfield, OH - August 15, 2022
We are paid on a piece rate scale. So if even one person is slow or having a bad day ...well then your pay for that day is screwed! If you get a good crew working together an making a good pay rate.. If the line lead don't like you an if you don't kiss butt then before you know it .. The good crew is split up again! There's alot of favoritism at this job. And the company is worried more about getting warm bodies there then they are about keeping the good people( good attendance, hard working an very good production) they already have working! Don't make any sense!

Friendly people, Welcoming place. Pay could be adjusted more.
Assembly Line Worker (Former Employee) - Mansfield, OH - June 6, 2022
Very mediocre pay (at the time) compared to amount of parts needed to be made to make rate. Not hard work, just tedious, more of a job in a job cause the assembly line would always malfunction and jam up or the such, causing the nice pace, being on par with good rate you had going, shut down for up to multiple hours a day. Making no rate, or below what you and your team could've made. Having hardly any at base pay, daily expenses quickly caught up per the weekly pay atop taxes. **Noticeably the pay wage has gone up, since my last employment. So maybe its not horrible pay wise- But would still recommend at least another dollar or two to an hour to retain workers, or make rate more feasible and something to look forward to. Yet, This would've been greatly appreciated as base pay rather 9.50 base pay during my employment.
Pros
Easy work, Great if you dont need a influx of cash, Clean, and majority a friendly environment. Play your own Music!
Cons
Pay, Maintenance Downtime on Lines, Too High of Rate Expectations.

Pay. And benefits suck. Clean environment
Assembly Worker (Former Employee) - Mansfield, OH - May 14, 2021
Advancement, pay and benefits are poor compared to company's that size. Work schedule is good along with how clean the factory is. Your pay can increase because of piece rate.
Pros
Schedule. And cleanliness
Cons
Pay and benefits

May 18, 2021We're sorry that we didn't meet your expectations. We do benchmark against and match the pay and benefits of other area manufacturers. And we try our best to build a culture where team members are respected and valued. Thanks for your input.
Very nice coworkers.
Laborer (Former Employee) - Mansfield, OH - August 30, 2020
There is no way a single person/parent can make it financially working there. The pay is embarrassing. Yes it's piece rate but almost impossible to get a decent amount. No shift premiums.
Pros
3 shifts available.
Cons
Low pay. No shift premiums.

August 31, 2020We're sorry that our production bonus system wasn't to your liking. Over the years we've tried very hard to make it as fair and rewarding as possible. But it doesn't work for everyone. We're please to hear that you liked your co-workers. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.
They're very accepting and laid back. U can listen to music while working
Assembler (Current Employee) - Mansfield, OH - August 23, 2020
Great place to work, but the pay scale is Piece Rate which can be very detrimental to receiving the highest possible wage. Saturday Overtime. Easy work though.
Pros
Paid time off. Music is able to be enjoyed while working
Cons
Piece rate can help u but hurt your hourly wage greatly

Great Staff and Friendly Management
Factory Associate (Former Employee) - Mansfield, OH - March 5, 2020
I have no actual bad experiences to share. This place was run fairly well and everyone was kind and professional. The job itself was not difficult to handle. I would recommend for anyone looking to transition to warehouse or factory work.

productive factory with good employees
Laborer (Former Employee) - Mansfield, OH - September 19, 2019
I had to work 3rd shift so I had to be clocked in by 11:00pm. I was put on a line called MAT or WASHER we greased parts while putting them together an we had a team at these locations an from start to finish which finish is where u package the parts to be shipped out. We had to get so many a night to make rate each person done something different on the job. A few of us including myself hopped around to the different machines to help out others so we could move faster an get rate or over rate. The management was good the were very helpful when someone wanted to know something about the job or had question or even how to work on each machine the right way. The hardest part of the job is when we have people that don't want to work fast, or do their job correctly, or be on there phones an it slows the whole line down. I loved the people I worked with it was an easy environment to get along with everyone an Supervisors as well I honestly loved the job.
Pros
good people good benefits
Cons
People came an went all the time
