Controller (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – July 8, 2012
A typical day at Manta was just like being in a play ground were every one was enjoying what ever they were doing, sharing information in the most casual way! I learned that diversity of jobs and people is what it makes the companys stronger Management were so profesional and jet so friendly Co-workers due to the nature of the business they were more than great they were boundless
Great snacks, lots of paid holidays off...not much else
Sales (Former Employee) – Columbus, OH – December 27, 2017
Lack of direction as a company. The majority of the upper management are scattered across the country. This does not work for Manta. They have horrible communication and their results show it. They seem to continue to have an identity crisis as a company.....Do not really understand what they are good at/ add value/ what they can sell....or who their target customers are.
The management shows up every few months....but, they do not have any idea of what actually is going on on a daily basis. They want to have a trendy- start up cutting edge vibe....but, it doesn't work for the hourly employees that do not have any real metrics that they have to hit. They hired Innosource to hire and manage the customer service, sales and marketing pros....then without any warning, just start eliminating positions. And then announce that that one of the managers they let go was going to work on other projects with Innosource....which was a flat out lie. Very disappointing that one of the senior leadership would stand in front of the team and lie....Why?
And they also did very questionable things like partner with another "company" to make sales but, there was no logic or training that occurred before just letting this other company have full access to the admin. side of the site. They were poaching the inside sales team's leads, just shady.
To be fair, there are many talented people on the Manta side, Columbus based...but, they struggle with the lack of direction or ever changing direction.
