Drama

Management is not professional. Employees personal privacy and autonomy is not respected. There is a lot of internal drama. Work days require hours standing on concrete floors.

Pros

A free sandwich for lunch

Cons

Required to stand on concrete floors for long periods. No healthcare benefits.

What a joke

It’s a nice one day a week gig job but they will screw you every way they can take full advantage of you then give your route away to a loser who only came in to grab bags and go

Pros

Only way day a week

Cons

They don’t manage well and treat the vendors and workers poorly

Not recommend

The drivers are treated unfairly. Also drivers are expected to load orders, the longer routes are given to the ones that kiss up, and the manager talks about the other employees. I do not recommend this job.

Great company culture working towards a common goal

I really value my time with Market Wagon. The hub coordinator position allowed me flexibility and work life balance. There is a wonderful culture and I always felt heard and supported by upper management. I only wish that this position paid a little more or offered more hours as most markets only allow for part time hours. Sometimes it can be pretty stressful on market day and you have to improvise but you are allowed a lot of leeway and autonomy to fix any problems facing you.

Pros

employee discount, supportive culture, supporting farmers in your local market

Cons

many times it's entirely on you to fix any problems that arise. Not enough hours

It’s a fun place to work where you can be your own boss because you work when you want to.

I really love working here. It’s better than being stuck in an office all day. It’s exactly what I was looking for! The hours are great and you get paid the same day. The hub manager is one of the best bosses I’ve ever had.

Awesome environment. Very flexible schedule.

It’s a good company. I like the flexibility. Good way to support local vendors. We only work two day a week and I’m hoping the company will grow enough to at least get another day . That would be perfect

May depend on location

The pay of 30 cents per mile does not cover enough to offset the cost of driving, this lowers your actual rate of pay after costs. I averaged $4 per delivery in pay for my last run.

Pros

It is a great idea to link local farmers and artisans

Cons

Pay vs work and expenses

Pay is fair and products help promote local producers and businesses. bonuses, free food and products, rewards for referrals of customers and employees, 100% tips from customers

Cons

Cons

Self employeed

I mean ur self employed so of course u get no benefits. But its a good delivery job and u get paid good. I like the people and the company , what's not to like. It's a farmers market online and you just load bags in your car and deliver them to whatever route they give you.

Serves an amazing purpose

The tips suck when working in the richest county in the state (Hamilton), makes me wonder if I’m getting all the tips or someone else. Management is very respectful, helpful and has amazing communication. The mileage only pays .27/mile which is bananas when driving your own car, should be .59/mile. Aside from the very low pay, everything is a 5 star.

Pros

Excellent work environment

Cons

Extremely horrible pay

Mehh

I understand this is not a full time job. With that being said, the Bloomington Illinois Market Wagon in my opinion doesn’t pay enough. There’s obviously the bosses favorites and they’ve been there longer. Only been open since June give me a break. I’ve never received more than 2 dollars total worth of tips on a check. Delivering to houses worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. The 25 bonus is kinda of joke because the days you get them you get put on a smaller route and once it’s added you’re lucky to make a little more than your last check. The boss knows how much each route is gonna payout and how much that route got for tips when they give you a route. Kinda not fair. So If you need a quick few bucks in your pocket. But honestly by time I took out for gas and depreciation was not worth the hourly wage for me personally. I’m sure people have better experiences than me but that’s mine.

Pros

Scenery.

Cons

Not enough pay.

Love Driving

Fun making extra cash and since I love driving it's easy working for a company that sells market fresh produce because I prefer delivering food that's healthy for people.
