I recently quit because we were on our sixth District manager in less than a year. The target I worked for treated us terribly and would regularly insinuate that we were not a part of their team. In order to do your job, you must use the electronics keys. I was hired in October, and while I am leaving this comment the following September, the electronics keys have not been fixed yet. This company is a joke, target starts out at $12.75 an hour, while market source starts at $8. Technically, target is paying you the same amount they would pay one of their employees, and market source skims it off the top. Before market source was created, regular Target team members used do the job. By outsourcing, they avoid having to pay you properly. Also, after selling very many phones on Black Friday I received a five dollar commission check. When I asked my district manager, he told me he would look into it and never did, consequently quitting as our dm days later. Three DMS and no answers later, I called corporate. They told me to check with my DM, so obviously I'm not getting my proper commission.. My store went through a remodel, and everything changed. During that time, target took it upon themselves to attach everything in electronics to one circuit board so that everything would turn off at night and claim it was targets policy (which clearly it isn't because my company considers it a breach of security that my computers are off overnight and literally no other target does that) Marketsource updates the computers overnight. So, for over a month my team and I could not sell phones and do our jobs. I could not put groceries on the table and when target was asked when there was going to be a resolution to the issue they never had any answers. They did not consider target tech to truly be target. I filled in multiple times in the local area and was promised to be paid mileage. They told me I would be compensated for the gas money I spent traveling 30 miles a day for two months. I was given several excuses as to why three months later I still didn't have my mileage . Their excuse was that it was all back filed and they were a month behind getting people their money. As it turns out, they never submitted my mileage request. And now that I have resigned from my position, they are not going to pay me. This company is a joke. Just another way to get screwed out of being paid what you deserve. Do yourself a favor and apply for actual target, NOT marketsource

Somewhat. The hours are done according to analytics about the most popular times to shop for phones. The District Manager takes your availability, applies it to the analytics, as well as the amount of hours he/she has to work with that given period or week.
This job was the most flexible retail job I ever had. They had a re-schedule option that you could use if you were running late or early. I loved that! If one was running an hour late just hit re-schedule than no demerit points against you. Then the system just re-scheduled you to work an hour later. Same with coming in early. I'm sure there was a limit to how much it could be used. But the option was truly awesome.
