Title: Marriott Vacation Club Review: A Fun and Rewarding Career Opportunity Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) I have had the privilege of working at Marriott Vacation Club, and I can confidently say that it has been an incredibly enjoyable and fulfilling experience. The company offers a dynamic work environment that combines fun, challenges, competitive compensation, and fantastic perks. While there are a few minor drawbacks, the overall experience has been nothing short of amazing. Working at Marriott Vacation Club can be an absolute blast. The atmosphere is vibrant and energetic, with a strong emphasis on creating an enjoyable experience for both employees and guests. The company encourages a positive work culture, fostering teamwork and camaraderie among colleagues. The enthusiasm and passion of the team make every day exciting, and the interactions with customers are often filled with joy and satisfaction. The challenges that come with the job make it even more rewarding. As a salesperson, you are constantly faced with the task of meeting and exceeding sales targets. This aspect of the job pushes you to sharpen your skills, think creatively, and develop effective sales strategies. Pay is great
Massage Therapist (Current Employee) - Orlando, FL - June 3, 2023
I was usually fully booked 8 hours a day 4 days a week and paid really well. If you want to make money, you just need to show up and the rest is done for you. My only issue was a few coworkers and drama but easily avoidable by just ignoring the gossip.

Not a positive place to work
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Orlando, FL - May 29, 2023
Work load is very heavy. Everyday you are expected to take on more tasks and more responsibilities but with no pay increase. Even when issues are brought to management nothing is done and you are not taken seriously.
Pros
Work from home
Cons
Management

Housekeeper (Former Employee) - Palm Desert, CA - May 19, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Friendly, fun, fast pasted, great benefits, all around a great experience working at the Marriott. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? During the training part I guess, only because I wanted to be on point with no mistakes, but as soon as I got the hang of things, it was awesome. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? All around friendly and welcoming. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Cleaning and satisfying the customers.

Loved the job itself, hated management
Housekeeping Aide (Former Employee) - Williamsburg, VA - March 30, 2023
I genuinely loved my housekeeping job but hated the management. I ended up leaving because of the toxicity of the management. The cons: It always felt like it was management versus the entry leveled people. Management was snarky and two faced. Dealt with a lot of underlying hateful comments and attitude from team leads and ROS. Very unprofessional and catty drama. They “encouraged” questions but will write you up if you ask too many, especially after hours. I did not feel validated or welcomed in this workplace. Favoritism played a huge role within this work environment. The pros: decent pay for entry level. Other departments were extremely kind and willing to help. I loved every one of my coworkers besides the upper leveled management. Guests were for the most part extremely kind, and I got a lot of guest compliments. Discount on Marriott hotels. Takeaway: if you choose Marriott, please consider another department. The company in itself is good, but the housekeeping management is very biased and toxic.
Pros
Decent pay, provided uniform, nice guests
Cons
Management

Excellent company overly tasked inhuman conditions
Housekeeper (Former Employee) - Palm Desert, CA - March 29, 2023
I absolutely love the Marriott itself. However the working conditions with extreme heat made it impossible to continue. Especially because the workload gets increased weekly until it’s unbearable! It’s too much for most human beings or the turnover rate wouldn’t be so high. That’s the dead giveaway that this job wasn’t built for longevity. It’s unimaginable that the company believes it can keep Housekeepers alive and well under such conditions. Even 19-22 year olds are burnt out and not showing up.
Pros
Free fountain drinks
Cons
No breaks if you want to finish your work on-time!

Bartender (Current Employee) - Orlando, FL - March 21, 2023
Good place to work. Busy during spring break. Management is very laid back. They work with you and getting the time off that you need for vacations and what not.

Used To Be Great
Marketing Coordinator (Former Employee) - Newport Beach, CA - March 15, 2023
I loved my time in marketing before the pandemic. After, it was never the same. Commission structure made it nearly impossible to reach top tier, had fewer leads, yet expected to work long hours.

Unfair job
Costumer Service (Current Employee) - Ireland, IN - March 11, 2023
I regret working here , Unfair salary , no support from your manager, clients are always angry and you are on the front line defending company' actions while you feel clients are totally right .In Brief, unethical environment to work for .

High pressure sales & quota
Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Phoenix, AZ - March 8, 2023
This is a high/medium pressure sales job and you must meet quota monthly. Sales training is included and there are defined hours. You must also work weekends.
