Marshall is a great company to work for. As a field investigator, your get great support from your manager. There is flexibility in the days you get off, but be ready to work a ton of hours and do some serious driving. Pay is competitive for the industry. Managers are consistently ready to help you take your career in the direction you'd like. Overall it is a great company with good pay where you will be treated fairly.

The management team is continually grateful for your efforts in the field. They make you feel like a person. They do not micromanage you either. They make sure you get days off and don't get burned out. There will be times when you will put in some hours and travel is required but if you are in this profession you know that is part of the job. They don't berate you when you lose someone or make a mistake. Their report format is simple and it is very easy to upload video. Basically, if you know what you're doing and you prove yourself they will not bother you and yet they are always just a phone call away. They have taken all of the things you would expect of an employer and have perfected them. The benefits are good also and they just recently added dental and vision which is huge. I have nothing bad to say about this company. I could tell early on that I had struck gold with this company. If you work here you will not be disappointed.

Have been with the Marshall Investigative Group for 3+ years now, and continue to be impressed with the direction of the company, and the leadership shown from management and colleagues for some time. Originally hired as a field investigator (after working surveillance for a much larger, much more rigid company), the differences became apparent almost immediately. Managers are more than willing to communicate and work with you regarding your schedule -- which is important for a job that often requires 10 hour days, and weekend assignments. They also provided me with the equipment and information necessary to be successful, and responses are generally prompt should a question arise in the field. Since moving into the office, I have enjoyed getting to know everyone as my schedule has become a more consistent 9-5, M-F. Much like with fieldwork, co-workers have been willing to assist when needed, which contributes to a strong workplace culture and an enjoyable, colloquial environment. With just under 100 employees, Marshall has already managed to make a nation-wide footprint (with employees in states from CA to NY) in a sector of criminal justice that seems to garner more attention by the day from our clients.

Everyone at this company has treated me great. I enjoy coming into work everyday along with interacting with the staff. A normal surveillance day is a 10 hour day from 6 am to 4 pm with competitive wages and overtime possibilities. A lot of work to be done at all times but, is very manageable. Overall, I would definitely recommend working for Marshall Investigative Group.
Administrative Assistant in Park Ridge, IL

A typical day at work was administrative. All but one of the people were wonderful. There was one employee that was a nasty, unhappy person. She ruined the workplace culture for other employees.
