My Boss, manager , and my coworkers were great people to work with! Got to know some really great customers! Some of them even treated us like family !
Pros
Nice coworkers, nice bosses, Vacations, sick pay, bonus
Cons
Employee (smoker )
I worked at martinizing in Plymouth mn.
I would not recommend anyone working for this owner. He is very shady and is very rude. I applied for assistant manager and was told after 3 days that I would have to take a pay cut and take a different job within the company.
Pros
None
Cons
Shady owner
They say it's a part time job, so they don't have to provide benefits. You work anywhere between 8-12 hours a day, five days a week, with only two 10 minute breaks. There's not air conditioning or heat, so in the winter you're freezing and in the summer you're hot and sweaty all day.
I would definitely recommend this job to anyone who has decent respectable works hard and is happy at nature because this job will bring you joy it did me
Pros
Good pay great hours excellent boss
Cons
None that I can even think of
Working for martinizing dry cleaners definetly helped me to be alot faster, pacient and calm when dealing with customers. Managment needs to be worked on and the lack of a raise after being employed within a year
You are there working completely alone unless the boss shows up at random times to grab some things from the back. Random work needs to be done at random times. And you have no choice but to deal with every single customer that walks in.
Pros
You're alone the entire time
Cons
Everything else
I love working here! My Boss is wonderful and I enjoy all my co-workers. I wish their was more work and more time available here! Every one is friendly !Christmas parties are done on the clock while you work!
Cons
Not enough hours
I personally believe that this is the most amazing job I have ever worked, the people are great, the bosses were even better, the hours were perfect, the pay was good, and the customers were great I would recommend anybody who can get a job at Martinizing dry cleaning in Sheridan Wyoming go for it very good job
Pros
Great work environment great people, great bosses, great customers, great Community, everything is just amazing
Cons
There are actually no cons to working at Martinizing dry cleaning it's an amazing job
Jobs at Martinizing Dry Cleaners
My years at Martinizing was ok, Its just that people would get hired on and get more pay than the people that has been there for years. When asked you are never given a legitimate reason as to why. Some of the handbook wasnt gone through so you had other employees telling you whats is offered instead of the manager
The stores owner does not have control over the store. The make people quote managers that have only been there a couple of weeks then offer you salary which is less than your hourly wage. Managers are rude and cut throat. They will act like they like you then sabatoge you by bombarding you and blaming you for mistakes that you didn't even make. Then they will follow up by hiring someone new to take your place. 100 percent waste of time.

Cons
Everything
I really enjoy working at Martinizing because its very nice work environment. I get to meet different people. Now that I've been here 2 years I know the faces of the customers and I get they're clothes ready for them to pick up and pay.
Pros
Not too much work
Cons
no health plans
The management didn't care about their staff. They would let you work like a dog, and still expect you to do more. The manager never called customers back about the many issues this store had, so you would get yelled at by angry customers calling the store everyday angry they couldnt talk to the manager. This store had damaged clothes every single day and the worker that washed them would blame tje customer saying it was already there leaving you deal with the angry customer when tjey picked up their damaged items. This store would hire anyone, even worked with a criminal once that started stealing the clothes.very bad management and environment.
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Everything do not work here
When I first started there it was ok. There were 3 employees performing our duties running the production bay. As I said before, very fast-paced and physical. As time went on, I separated myself by outworkin the other two guys. Eventually they quit and the owner clearly felt it was ok to leave me in the bay by myself. Clearly too much for one person so I demanded some help. None came, so after 9 months of slavery, I quit!
Pros
Free dry cleaning
Cons
Short breaks
I would say overall the work they do is productive and nice the place is not made for talking. If you are talking the job is not being done and it involves memory and numbers so paying attention is key,
Pros
It was a learning experience.
Cons
It was different type of experience.
Typically, the first thing I would do when I arrived at work was check if there were any bags that needed to be checked in. If there were, I would check them in and organize them due to which clothing item goes where. If I finish all the bags, then I would run the front desk, check in any clothes that customers bring in, or check out any clothes customers come to pick up.
Pros
Laid back, can listen to music
Cons
working by yourself at night
A typical work day starts with counting the cash drawer. I then check in anywhere from 1-any amount of 24hr drop off bags. Checking in consists of looking over for stains or damage and then marking in quickly and accurately under the right name and sorting to the right area. I look of cleaned and pressed clothes for stains and a clean press if ready I sort to 1 of 4 stores to be sent out for delivery back to customer. I bag and locate all clothes when ready. I also help load and unload dry cleaning machines and washers/dryers. I assist customers with pick up and take payments. I do weekly inventory and make phone calls to customers daily. I also perform the daily/weekly store gross totals for all 4 stores. I also make weekly deposits.
Pros
Flexible schedule
Cons
No breaks, hot work environment, no room for advancement within the company.
Always busy. Cleaning cloths and helping customers. Learned how to run dry cleaning machines. Management is great. Very great work culture. The heat is aweful. Seeing everyone work as one
Pros
Great staff
Cons
Heat and lack of communication
Hot days, loads of dirty clothing, and minimum wage. The people however are outstanding, pretty much accepted me the first day, just one big family. Sadly I had to go back to school, so the experience was short lived.
I really enjoyed my job there and the customers loved me. The management is horrible and when she saw someone out shine her she took it as a threat. Very poor professionalism. The manager would play games and train me wrong in some areas to make me look bad when reprimanded. She would change the schedule with out my knowledge making me late.Other then that I was always on time and never missed a day. I was jipped on 12 hours of work on my last paycheck. I thought corporate would've taken care of it but they did nothing for me. If anyone wants to work for Martinizing, I suggest you not work in Oconomowoc.
Pros
No cap on overtime
Working in high school could get tough but working at Martinizing, working and being able to get homework done was very easy. The team I would work with were always polite and enjoyed a good laugh. The management was good for the most part, I always thought it would be tough running a business. The hardest part of the job was having to fix my own mistakes due to me not paying attention. The best part was knowing that I could always count on my coworkers to be there for me when I needed a hand.
Pros
Good working environment
Cons
No breaks, iffy hours
