Many great aspects of the company. Poor upper management for the area has a steady decline of business and makes most situations frustrating. Long hours required to be successful.

Great company to work for
Sales Inspector (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLMarch 12, 2019
This was a very positive company to work for. I have nothing but great things to say about this company. That said, the company is great, but the pay is not great. Also it depends on the office you work in. Management in some locations are not as well maintained as other offices and that can affect your job.

Sales Inspector (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FL 33603February 24, 2019
I really didn't realize how bad of a work situation I was in until I did this review. I wasn't looking to say anything against Massey as I was glad to have a job, but to be honest, the way they handle their employees is exactly why I want to do something different.

Depends on Service Center
Sales Inspector (Former Employee) –  FloridaJanuary 31, 2019
I am currently an inspector but hired as GM in training and they are constantly on you for Sales. You are part of a group chat and daily pounding where are the sales. They promise you help but you get none. You are supposed to have a couple office leads a day and a service lead along with your own work but most of the time it's fake appointments you make to satisfy upper management. You'll never ever make money being creative. Plus you work every other Saturday. So do the math here. Say you do that which in the Minimum they say. 44 hours per week on call nights no weekend. 50+ on the other week. A $3,000 draw means you need to sell around 20K a month to hit it. So if you don't you are working for under $15 an hour. If you take a vacation you'll fall behind and have to work the other Saturdays to make up. The lies are told from day one. Promises and promises and no communication. If you are hired to be a manager in training and they said you'll start in sales run away. It's a total scam.
Pros
Company Car. benefits
Cons
Few leads all creative. Lies of advancements. Long hours.

A great experience if you have never been in sales before.
Sales Inspector (Former Employee) –  Odessa, FLJuly 25, 2018
Day for a sales inspector begins at 7 am ends at 7 pm minimum. Massey has Wonderful Sales Training if you've never been in sales. Its a great stepping stone for a better job. The hours are very long. You will be working more than 60 hours per week. The further you are away from the Orlando headquarters the worse the job becomes. The Orlando Massey branches adhere to Mr. Massey's principles. The people at the corporate offices are great people. Use every bit of information and contacts to your advantage. When I left Massey, I moved onto a job that pays over $100K a year. It was all because of who they put me in front of. I also had years of sales and management knowledge. More than my actual boss who would continuously ask me for help and advice on how to do things. My other boss was a wonderful person who had years of management and sales experience. A word of advise is do not ever take them at there word on your promotional pace. If you want management go into the management program. Do not believe, as they tell you that, you are better off going through all the positions. You will be held back if you excel at a position. Always, keep that in mind. I do like the Massy's and actually still speak to them. They are a very nice family and they do have some outstanding employees. The family is very generous.
Pros
Company Car. Good Benefits, Awesome People at Corporate, Good training for a novice
Cons
Work every saturday, even if you are ahead of plan, there is no actual paid time off you still mustg make your goal, mostly door to door sales

Some good people
Sales Inspector (Former Employee) –  Dallas, GAMarch 2, 2018
Don't let the job title fool you. You are there to sell and inspection is frowned upon unless it leads to a sale. They have no regard for your family life as I was often in homes after 7pm. You were assured of being off every sunday but had to work every other saturday for a six day work week.
Pay is almost impossible in draw against commission since you get very few leads.
Received texts and calls repeatedly from boss about sales that were not there.
Overall, company scams consumer to get sales by scheduling annual inspection but, there coverage for termite is very good. Unfortunately people pay for bugs and the chemicals used are basically the same as what you can buy from home stores.
Pros
Freedom on the road
Cons
Long hours and poor compensation

No effective marketing or sales leads
Sales Inspector (Current Employee) –  Naples, FLJanuary 10, 2018
Shocking that a company of this size schedules on paper and has almost zero sales leads. Even name recognition is exceptionally poor. Management fully expects you to work 60-70 hours per week and thinks door to door sales is going to work to provide a decent living. Amount of handwritten paperwork for sales inspectors is insane. They have a computer system and still do everything by hand! Commission should be double if sales inspector is bringing in all leads with no company leads.
Pros
some nice people there
Cons
backwards, insane lack of effective marketing, too much paper, hours

Poor compensation - ridiculous hours - unprofessional management
WDO Inspector (Former Employee) –  Eustis, FLJanuary 4, 2018
By the time you do the math, the hours you work VS the money you make (praying there are no chargebacks that you had nothing to do with) You don't even make minimum wage. Management is beyond rude and unprofessional. Don't get your hopes up for promoting, no matter how many hours or favors you pull out of your hat. Fluff is all you will receive. Don't waste your time here.

Short staffed at Gwinnett Service Center
Sales Inspector (Former Employee) –  1797 Grayson Highway Grayson, GeorgiaApril 9, 2015
Overall an experience I will learn from. General management performed the best with what was provided. Due to the large service area (most of Northeast Georgia including parts of South Carolina) the Gwinnett location was susceptible to a large amount of turnover. Two technicians and one sales inspector to support the large service area. Moreover, the General Manager would be left to perform the roles of Sales Inspector and a Technician rather than focusing on management of the service center. Overall, a position I decided to step away from to focus on a career I would enjoy. Their upper management such as their District Manager were condescending and made my tenure their a stress laden mess. One particular incident on Christmas Eve was the District Manager calling me at dinner I believe his words were "You need to get $1,000 in sales over the weekend or else there will be consequences." The General Manager did his job to the best of his abilities and so did his office manager, however they were not given enough resources (people) to handle the scope of the job.
Pros
Lots of freedom, Company vehicle, Health Insurance, Good benefits
Cons
No work-life balance(1 day off a week, No PTO), High turnover, Poor compensation, Low-staffed
