Massey Services
Sales Inspector/Service Manager (Former Employee) –  FLMay 17, 2019
Massey was a terrible experience. They use old school bully tactics for motivation to work and get the job done. As someone who has been notified on many levels from previous employers that their work ethic far exceeded the norm, this company tried to take advantage of it and the managers would verbally tell you that just to make you work more hours for free. The service centers are always understaffed so plan on doing the work of 2 or 3 people for the same pay. 90 hours a week and minimal training was provided to new managers. It was just a "make me the money culture". I do not recommend this company to anyone. Although their products and services are quality, the way they treat their employees is like expendable pawns that can be manipulated and overworked.
Pros
Cell Phone reimbursement, Benefits, Company Vehicle
Cons
Overworked, Company Morale, Training, Work/Life balance, just to name a few

Loyalty in this company means being loyal to the company, but it will not be reciprocated. You do what they tell you to and when it goes wrong they will hang you out to dry to save their own behinds. There are millions of policies and protocols, but they only matter when someone is trying to make a point. Several upper-management employees told me that company policy is "just there for when you need it, but you dont need to follow every one". I then saw those same upper management employees fire someone for "not following policy". There is a secret schedule and list of policies to be followed and when, and they wont let you in on it. As long as you are drinking buddies with higher ups, you'll be fine no matter what you do. But if you aren't willing to kiss someone's behind our entire career, its not the job for you. Employees lie to and about each other constantly, you can't trust the employees in your own office. You have to spend all of your time protecting yourself against corporate AND the people you work with, because they will sell you out in half a heartbeat if it will get them in good with upper management. They will consistently demand you do things well outside your job description in order to save a few bucks. Or if the person who is actually responsible for that task is a buddy of their, congrats its your job now and you better figure out how to get it done along with everything else they pile on you.
Pros
Benefits (healthcare, 401k) are pretty good.
Cons
You can trust no one, long hours (60+ per week with no compensation) unrealistic demands

Job was ok but highly likely not to apply again
Service Manager (Former Employee) –  McDonough, GAAugust 10, 2018
Massey was interesting place of employee because it is a Pest Control company. The most rewarding time at the job was taking a trip to Orlando for a retreat/awards program to the top selling employees and managers.
The most difficult times is when you have to service in the crawl space of all your houses. Very scary at times.
Pros
Learning about pests and how to prevent them from coming inside your home
Cons
Driving long distance weekly to provide service outside of your district

Its not a simple place to work, its great for people that like challange and want to work in a corperate setting. While I did not want to leave I had to because while I excelled in work I was lacking in family time. I loved the daily challenges that the job gave me but my wife was going to leave me becaue I was working 7 days a week 16 hours a day

Not the best
Service Manager (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXFebruary 24, 2016
Typical day is chasing after stops that weren't finished and the boss is yelling at you bc his boss is yelling at him. Bonus never comes each month and ur just given some random reason without explanation as to why u didn't get a bonus. You learn absolutely nothing. Management is a joke, they spend the majority of their time out of town and they give you no tools to perform your job. The hardest part of the job is explaining to techs why they didn't receive all of the money they earned from their stops completed and why they have been payroll deducted bc a customer didn't want to deal with management anymore. The most enjoyable part of the day is when you are not receiving complaint calls ( which is never) and having to go behind every tech bc no one was properly trained and don't think that's happening anytime soon.
