Mattel Interns

We offer exceptional learning and career development opportunities for students in a dynamic, creative and supportive environment. Our interns’ fresh ideas and perspectives help Mattel deliver on goals and growth objectives while we build a talent pipeline of future leaders.

Our internship program is driven by a single focus: to find our future leaders. We encourage interns to push boundaries because we want to see how far you might take us some day. We provide you with phenomenal managers, mentors and buddies to help you accomplish more than you would have thought possible. And we team you up with other interns because every great thing that comes out of Mattel is done as a team.

Play Fair Commitment

Our commitment to fighting systemic racism will be ongoing. Each of our brands has an important role to play in this and will be outlining actions to support this critical endeavor.

Barbie is the first brand to announce a Play Fair commitment, which includes increasing Black representation across products and content, spotlighting more Black role models and dedicating resources to further support Black girls. In addition, we are donating $250,000 to NAACP youth programs. Looking forward, we will donate proceeds from future product sales and initiatives of at least $250,000 to fund educational programs focused on supporting Black girls.

Our COVID-19 Response

Mattel has taken a proactive approach in the fight against COVID-19. We support healthcare heroes on the front lines by producing face shields and cloth face masks for medical professions in the U.S. and around the world.

Additionally, we have provided toy donations to non-profit partners including Baby2Baby, Feed the Children, LA Family Housing, LA Students Most in Need (through the Los Angeles Unified School District), Partners for Pediatric Vision, Save the Children and UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, among others, as well as monetary grants to Feed the Children and Save the Children. We have also set up programs with the Red Cross and Save the Children and are matching employee donations to both organizations.

The Power of Play

We know play is one of the most powerful ways we can affect meaningful change in kids’ lives. Whether it's on the playground, at home or at one of our many volunteer events, Mattel is committed to ensuring all children have the opportunity to play.

In 2019, we hosted our second annual Global Day of Play. Mattel offices around the world came together, in partnership with local charities and global partners, to make a positive impact on local communities. Over 1,000 employees in 34 countries partnered with organizations serving children to bring Mattel play experiences to those who need it most.
