I can honestly say Maverick is one of the best companies to work for. They are very professional and have a very efficient training. You will become a great driver here.

I left and wish I never had. As a driver I could request off and never had an issue getting it. Benefits are great. Pay was great and got better after I left. Working on getting back in with them as a type, I put in my time with them and was treated very well, fleet manager really does know your name btw, he even answered the phone with it after 2 months gone. Left for a home daily LTL and sure I was going to be home but couldn’t do anything since I didn’t know when I’d work and when not. At least at Mav I could count on being home weekends (regional dedicated run) and whenever I needed off. Home time was iffy when I started but dramatically improved over time and tenure. Trucks are pretty much top of the line, trailers are good and bad. Breakdowns are handled quickly and your on the clock for them. Detention pay after 2 hours. A significant bump in tarp pay as of recent. Pay is Mileage (zip code to zip code) or percentage depending on division and can be outstanding if your willing to run and keep the drivers door shut, but if your having a bad week and slow down you won’t hear about it. Storms, heat, wind and trying to tarp causes delays and you won’t get called out, they will support you so long as you communicate with them.

Not a bad starter company. Orientation and trucking school were fine. Got home every weekend except 1, other than the ones I wanted to stay out.Pay is slightly above average for starting out trucking. One bad part is they tarp almost everything, which can be very unsafe if the shipper doesn't have a tarp machine. Even though you see other trucking companies picking up the same thing going to the same place and not tarping. They say it's what the customer wants, which is a lie.

Good place to start with trucking. They say that can work with your home time but that’s not always true. Definitely have to watch the Monday by 10am delivery.
CDL Class A Driver in 48 and Canada

Maverick is my first trucking job, they have been good to me. The orientation was long, if you're a new cdl driver. The money is there to be made once you learn how to run the clock and get more experience everyday. The home time is alright. For Glass it's 2 weeks out minimum. If you go home often I would say you're going to make about 70 easy with experience.
