Reviews about Pay & Benefits for Certified Medical Assistant in Mayo Clinic
Walk Away
CMA (AAMA) (Former Employee) - Chippewa Falls, WI - August 6, 2019
No advancement opportunity.
CMA POSITION IS NOT VALUED
management is nonexistent, when it is present you can bet someone is in trouble. Nobody is held accountable for work performance, but don’t try to be an individual, or voice your opinion!
Vacation time is offered but more likely not granted, yet management gets their vacation.
Pros
Compensation
Cons
Management, no advancement

Great patients
Certified Medical Assistant (Former Employee) - Menomonie, WI - March 6, 2018
I enjoyed my doctor and my patients through Mayo Clinic. I did not care for the leadership and management styles. We weren't given explanations for decisions just told to follow them.
Pros
Good Benefits and Employee Discounts
Cons
Management is not well informed

Busy clinic
Certified Medical Assistant (Former Employee) - Prairie du Chien, WI - July 3, 2017
Days were very busy, staff overloaded, some doctors very hard to work with - did not lead by example, being able to help patients and making them comfortable and satisfied was rewarding, not being able to attract another provider to work at clinic to alleviate overloaded schedules.
Pros
worked Monday through Friday
Cons
compensation was low compared to other clinic systems, negative environment
