Decent job with benefits
Warehouse Specialist (Former Employee) - Orlando, FL - September 26, 2023
There are 2 facilities in Orlando. I worked at the smaller one and the team was less than 25 people total. Many have been there for decades. Most are friendly and helpful to a newcomer but overall it was a “that’s how it’s always been” environment. Pay was decent and work always relatively simple.
Pros
Simple work
Cons
Hot warehouse

McLane Company insights
Areas for improvement
- Time and location flexibility
- Trust in colleagues
- Sense of belonging
Job was fine but policies need work.
Product Selector (Former Employee) - Danville, IL - September 26, 2023
Management in my department (Perishable) were good generally, But everyday there was something going wrong. Management always blamed the workers for not making quota and weaponized overtime on Fridays as a sort of punishment for calling off. Almost no-one had any attendance points because you are working in a -13⁰ FREEZER most of the time and getting sick. That combined with the rickety, Broken carts that you have to deliver product to the loading bays made it a terrible experience Dayly. My review is Harsh, But I'm being Honest. Don't bother, You'll just waste 9 months of your life.
Pros
Easy work, Generally kind coworkers, good pay, HR are helpful.
Cons
Short breaks, Terrible Corporate policies, Fake "Family" atmosphere.

Good money
CDL A Truck Driver (Former Employee) - Houston, TX - September 25, 2023
Great company. It is a very physical job but it's manageable. I wouldn't suggest applying if you have any physical limitations though. 4 days a week and can possibly make 6 figures

Stressful, never know how bad it's going to be when u walk in the office.
Transportation Supervisor (Current Employee) - Marion County, FL - September 24, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? I enjoyed working with my Coworkers and some of the drivers . What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Not getting the required training and being setup to fail. Scheduled to work overnight after I made it clear when I was hired That I was not able to work That shift. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Stressful due to division president micro management of the department. Including making new policies. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Every changing. I enjoy keeping busy but the Distribution side of the company made so many mistakes that it it all fell on the transportation side to fix it.

Horrible Management
CDL Class A Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Concord, NC - September 22, 2023
The job itself is as is, foodservice delivery. The whole Concord division is poorly run. Management does NOT care about employees. You ARE an expendable asset to them.

Great DC
HR Manager (Former Employee) - Manteca, CA - September 22, 2023
Manteca operates a great DC. The GM holds all teammates and leadership team accountable. Respectful and team works together to make sure everything runs smoothy.

Long hours
Truck Driver Class A (Current Employee) - Kissimmee, FL - September 21, 2023
Good place to work if you do t mind actually working. The only down side is the management it’s a big company so there is a lot to that happens where you have to pretty much manage on yourself

Stressful and annoying
Truck Driver Class A (Current Employee) - Arlington, TX - September 21, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? They have a little flexibility. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Everything form the management to the routing. If you want to be stressed and have no work life balance then this is the job you want. They go by favorites so if you are new don’t expect to get any special treatment. Horrible company to work for and they take money off your salary every new bid which is every 6 months. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Stressful and chaotic and very unprofessional What is a typical day like for you at the company? You start early and leave late and the amount of work that is required and expected is unreal. They want full control of you at all times

Hard work, good pay, good teammates
Warehouse Specialist (Former Employee) - Lakeland, FL - September 19, 2023
Mclane has a good team. Workers lookout for each other. Overtime is always available if you want to pick up others work. Or if you want to go hard and get incentive production pay. Leadership weak at times but pay is good. Need the warehouse better ventilated and cooled. Supervisor even helped me when I had nowhere to stay for a week.Got injured on the job and the company didn't hesitate or play games with workers comp.

You’ll receive what effort you put in
Warehouse Supervisor (Current Employee) - Riverside, CA - September 13, 2023
Always room for growth. May take a year or so of first starting but if you don’t play around with you call offs there is definitely opportunity to be promoted. Guys are constantly calling off playing with their attendance points which puts them at a negative standing when ready to promote to leadership or enlist in our grow your own driver program. Leadership team is solid but schedule must be very flexible. Seniority based warehouse.

Its a job
Perishable Dock Loader (Former Employee) - Nicholasville - September 12, 2023
Hours change on day to day basis depending on how many trucks there are to load. Management and upper positions out of touch with blue collar workers.
